The microKORG2 builds on the original's popular vocoder with a new vocal processor, adding hard-tune pitch correction, a harmonizer for pitch-shifting and layering vocals, plus reverb, delay, and more The microKORG2 includes a loop recorder for creating backing tracks by looping/overdubbing, perfect for live performances. Three dedicated buttons—record, play/stop, and undo/redo—make it easy to use. The microKORG2 features a genre-based Category and Bank selector for easy access to diverse sounds across Classic, Modern, and Future categories, with space for 64 user-saved Programs. To expand the scope of the synth sounds as far as possible, Korg has developed three series of effects including nine new types of modulation (with dynamics effects), six types of delay and reverb. BLINKSONIC°, by Sylvain Stoppani, creates virtual instruments using REAKTOR software, blending sound design with interactive 2D visuals. Since 2015, its unique style led to a KORG collaboration to design the microKORG 2 interface, focusing on intuitive controls for live performance and editing.
