Pretty for a short time. Appears like "gold", for a short time -- up to two months. I wore this with a pendant only during the day, did not sleep or shower in it. Sparkled and shone like gold for two months. Then it didn't. After that time-- and remember it was not in the shower or tangled during sleep, it began to look faded, grey-black, "tarnished." At least as disturbing if not more so, it gave me a rash on the back of my neck where it draped across in back. Not sure what components are in the chain that are allergens. For me, it was only a "temporary" or disposable piece. Useless now and it is past the return "window." Some necklace manufacturers on Amazon prompt purchasers to take out "insurance" but turning black or losing its shine is not covered in the "insurance." If I have to buy a new one of these every two months, it makes more sense to just go ahead and buy a real gold chain. ... show more
