I like that the chain is14 carat gold and not plated, that’s why I chose to pay quite a bit more. I purchased the chain for my adult daughters birthday. I’m giving her a family heirloom locket that’s been in our family for over a century and was very disappointed when I realized how fragile this very thin chain is. I ended up purchasing a gold plated, much sturdier chain from Amazon, which looks just as authentic and will hopefully last a long time without breaking. It is very very fine(light) chain and concerns me it will break Very easily. Had I seen it in person first I personally would not have bought it. It is so light I do not feel I am wearing it at all. It IS Very Pretty!! My only concern is how long will it last for me.
