PROS: I was looking for a 10k gold, 16” long and 0.7mm wide chain and selected this one. I ordered a similar necklace from a well-known jewelry store for over $100 that has a triangle pendant attached. I wanted to make a shorter version to layer with a bumblebee pendent I own. This chain was a perfect match to the jewelry store chain. They look so similar that I’m now nervous the jewelry store overcharged me for what might be the same chain I found on Amazon. CONS: When it arrived - it was SO THIN and SO SMALL that I dropped it a few times and couldn’t find it. It looks and feels very fragile and dainty. The jewelry store chain definitely feels stronger, even though it looks nearly identical. I’m nervous that this Amazon chain will get tangled on clothes or hair and break. Most of the time when I see a negative review, I admit I assume misuse on the part of the owner, but holy cow. This morning I put the chain on with a very small, lightweight pendant I recently purchased. I noticed that the clasp was kind of too strong. After wearing it while I got ready, I decided I didn't like the length or the chain type for this particular pendant, so I went to take it off and prepare it for a return, and it came off surprisingly easily... THE CLASP WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN. This is a poor design. The strength of the clasp mechanism is too much for how dainty it is, so my best guess is that it breaks very easily as a result. I have small, skinny fingers, and it was tough to use even for me. I had been hoping this would work, since I wanted 10k to match the pendant, but I'll be returning this chain, and purchasing another one from Jewlpire. I have a nice box chain from there that I would have used if the loop had fit through the bail. I recommend anyone seeing this does the same. ... show more

The necklace is real 10 karat gold but the clamp is not it’s gold plated so false advertise this necklace. They say that it’s all 14 karat gold but that’s not right the clamp says 10 KF and a magnet will stick to it

I ordered the thickest option, 1.3mm, and I am sooo happy with my purchase. I did consider getting a thinner chain, but if it is too fine it would likely break more easily and I wanted to purchase something that would last, so paid a bit more which was well worth it. It is good quality and I am so happy that I got it. The rope sparkles too which I like. I for the 24 inch which was a mistake on my end because its a bit too long and disappears in the cleavage lol.
