Ultra Light Weight Carry On

This is one of the lightest carry-ons I own. The most important thing other than the weight is the pull-up handle comes up smoothly. It has a TSA-approved lock in case your flight is too full and you need to check the bag. It is expandable by zipper. The screws that attach the plastic to the metal appear to be some sort of hex nut screw x2. I think this double screw is a good thing as this is replacing a carry-on that developed a weak single screw that made the handle hard to work. With two screws, if one fails you have a backup. The insides are fairly standard and functional. The exterior is a pebbled plastic that makes the bag look nylon-coated even though it is fully plastic. I have never heard of this brand, but a Google search shows they are a UK brand. It does come with a five-year warranty. I will say that looking up the Kono brand on Amazon, there is another Kono carry-on that is $20 cheaper. The difference is the cheaper one has 4 wheels, not eight, is 1.3 pounds heavier, but can have an extra 2 liters of space when expanded. Also, this one has a wet/dry pocket for swimwear that the other does not have.

Small Suitcase, Big Travel Energy

I’m really impressed with this Kono 20-inch carry-on suitcase! The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is when empty, which is a huge plus when you’re trying to maximize your packing without wasting precious airline weight on the luggage itself. The 360-degree spinner wheels glide smoothly and easily, making it simple to maneuver through airports, hotel hallways, and other smooth surfaces without having to wrestle with the suitcase. The green color is also a fun change from the sea of black luggage you usually see at the airport! I especially like the expandable design, which gives you some extra room when needed and uses an easy-to-operate zipper. The hardshell exterior feels durable while still keeping the suitcase relatively lightweight. The interior is well thought out, too. One side has a mesh pocket and clear plastic pocket, along with a full zippered cover to keep everything contained. The opposite side has secure straps to hold your clothes and belongings in place, which is always helpful when you're digging through your suitcase or opening it after a bumpy trip. Another nice feature is the built-in zipper lock on the side. It's easy to reset and only takes a few seconds, so there’s no complicated setup to deal with. Overall, this feels like a great value for the price. Compared with other 20-inch carry-on suitcases offering similar features, the Kono seems very competitively priced. Lightweight, easy to maneuver, expandable, and packed with useful organizational features—exactly what I want in a carry-on!

Thoughtful layout, but the interior strapping could be better

This suitcase gets the important big-travel things right: it holds a lot without being excessively heavy, rolls smoothly, and has enough interior separation that packing does not turn into one giant pile. The expandable space is especially useful for longer trips, and I appreciate the separate zippered and wet-item areas because they make it easier to keep the suitcase organized on the way home. The shell, handle, and spinner wheels all feel appropriate for a checked bag in this price range. My one hesitation is the packing strap. With such a roomy case, a more substantial restraint system (ideally two straps or a broader panel) would do a better job keeping heavier packed items from shifting. Still, it is a practical, attractive suitcase with a well-considered interior and a lot of capacity for the money.

Spacious, Lightweight and Rolls Beautifully Easy

This is a great large suitcase and I’m really impressed with how much room it has without feeling excessively heavy. The expandable design gives you a ton of packing space, which is especially nice for longer trips or when you inevitably come home with more than you left with. The interior is thoughtfully designed with separate compartments, compression straps and pockets that make it much easier to keep everything organized. I especially appreciate the wet/dry pocket for toiletries. The spinner wheels roll very smoothly, and the telescoping handle feels comfortable and easy to maneuver. The hard shell feels sturdy while still keeping the overall weight reasonable, and the built-in combination lock is another nice feature. I also really like the purple color—it looks even better in person and will be easy to spot at baggage claim. Spacious, attractive, easy to maneuver and very well designed.

Kono 28" rolling, expandable - protective suitcase

This i snot the 1st Kono 28 inch I own, I recently bought one in April at the local TJ Maxx, and was very happy with how well it held up on my trip to Mexico. I took 2 large suitcases, and they both took a beating from the airport but this Kono one handled the travels a lot better, my other bag literally had an indentation in it from being tossed, obviously not the exact treatment was used on the bags, but I stored my Ninja Slushie machine in this bag and it arrived unimpacted!!!! So when I saw the brand name I immediately knew I was going to love this suitcase! Easy to to use, locks installed on the actual suitcase!!!! Perfect for travel and security, easily locked and unlocks. Expands nice and big! Love the plum purple color. Spins nicely.

A suitcase that understands toiletries

This is a really nice large suitcase. The green color is even better in person, and at 28 inches there is plenty of room for a longer trip without the suitcase itself feeling ridiculously bulky. What I especially love is the waterproof section for toiletries. That is such a smart addition in checked luggage. Shampoo, conditioner, lotions, and everything else with the potential to betray me at 30,000 feet can have their own contained space instead of being packed alongside my clothes. The spinner wheels make a suitcase this size much easier to maneuver, and I like having the expandable option for those trips where somehow considerably more comes home than left with me. Great color, great size, and a thoughtful interior layout. The waterproof compartment alone has significantly reduced my fear of opening my suitcase to discover a shampoo-based crime scene.

Nice size luggage that’ll do the job

This luggage is a 28” check in bag and has a lot of room for most of your travel needs. The wheels are descent and even spins a couple of rotations on carpet. The carrying handle pulls up and locks to 3 different heights. The handle is sturdy enough. TSA zipper locks. the zipper locks are pretty descent and smooth to open and close. The inside has a few compartments on the divider flap. The only negative I can see where this bag can improve is the load bearing strap where it’s only one thin strap down the middle holding down the items and it is also not so obvious to tighten it down. Would’ve been better if there was at least a plate that the straps holding down the plate instead of the strap holding down the actual items in the luggage

I love this suitcase. Its standard so it measures right at the specified size for flying. That includes the luggage. Extender, wheels, and handle. It has the locks on the side to set your zippers so it doesn't become open. Inside has plenty of small and other pockets. There is a secret zipper to extend the luggage by an inch give or take. There is also an inner strap to hold belongings. Lastly, there is a cheat sheet on the side on how to set your unlock combination. I have not mastered this.
