After three failed attempts at being happy with another well know brand of Chelsea style boot, I stumbled across the Kodiak brand in an online search. I liked the look of the boot and it was perfect for what I planned to use these boots for. I ordered the boot and two days later when I received them, I took my time opening the box thinking I just might be disappointed like the last three times with the other brand. To my surprise I was immediately impressed with the quality of this boot. I had to try them on right then. I was so happy with the fit and the aesthetics and the fit of the boot I had to immediately go show them to my husband. He must have really liked them because he asked me if they had the same style in the a men's boot. I looked and they do, so I immediately placed an order for his boot. Some reviews mentioned the lack of insole cushioning which I didn't find an issue but for a work boot I always change the insoles to a gel insole because of the miles I put on the boot. I have been wearing these boots for the past year and have no complaints. They are water proof and do not leak at all. I have been in mud and muck amd they clean up well. I stand on concrete for hours without too much discomfort. I can walk for miles without pain. These boots get alot of wear from me and they are holding up. ... show more

I was looking for a ‘Chelsea’ boot that had more of a work boot feel rather than a dress boot feel. These fit the bill. Fits as expected. I was worried that they would look ‘clunky’, or like I was wearing a mans boot, but this is not the case. They are cute, and exactly what I was going for. I feel like they will break in nicely. I am giving 4 stars because I was expecting them to be more comfortable than they are. If I WAS looking to wear these as an all day work boot, I’m not sure these would cut it. I feel they need more cushioning. I will be purchasing cushion insoles to make them perfect for me. With that aside, I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend. ... show more

ALWAYS so hard to find comfortable boots. These are amazing! I usually wear a size 10 in gym shoes and 9.5 - 10 boots. I ordered a 9.5 and they fit great. I LOVE the openness in the toe area. They did rub my heel on one of my feet but seem to be breaking in nicely - not doing it anymore. They also do slide a bit in the back but in a good way. If I size down they will be too small, if I wear a heavy sock they don’t slide. Also, wore them in the mud and cold everyday since having them and completely dry inside. Also sliding them on and off without having to tie or fight to get my foot out is a HUGE win! Absolutely recommend! ... show more

These boots really look nice, leather seems great, outer sole is quality. That is where the good stops though, because the insole is almost non-existent and the toe box is narrow and angled. They need to make them foot shaped and add some level of support.

I’ve been looking for a sturdy Chelsea boot for a while. All the main brands are narrow and aren’t made for thick ankles. I took a chance on these and I’m so glad I did! They fit perfectly, go on easily, and are super comfy! Not to mention they look cute too! I was worried they’d look a little too like “work boots”, but they aren’t too clunky or bulky. I am in love with these boots! I got them for a pair of work/outside chores boots and I wear them all the time. They are very comfortable and look great with light and dark jeans. I will be getting another pair whenever these ones wear out!
