I got small and it fits amazing on both my daughter and I. Looks and feels resistant. The wrist protector is ultra light weight due to be made with resistant plastic, instead of metal. Id have banged up my knees or wrists forsure if i had tried rollerskating without em. Use protective ware especially if you're new. The wrist protection is a bit awkward but you can get used to it until you learn. If you're looking at this you're obviously worried it could hurt if you fall and with these youll have some good protection. Its just definitely rigid plastic on your wrist.

I got these to protect me during falls while learning slalom inline skating along with a helmet. They have been doing their job. I'm 135 lbs female and got the Large size. Knee pads have been working great to prevent pain when falling on my knees. The wrist brace is my favorite part. There have been multiple times I fell down with an impact on my wrists (something I'm trying to learn to avoid, it's just instinct when you first start I think) and I could see the scrapes on the plastic and I was glad it wasn't my hand. I once fell a little hard backward largely on my wrists (again, trying to learn not to do this) and they might have even prevented an injury or at least extra pain. After 2 months, the plastic on one of the wrist braces broke during a fall. I choose to take that as they did their job protecting me. I just ordered a set of wrist braces by themselves to replace mine. I find these wrist braces easy to put on, you can just slide your hand in without undoing the velcro. Elbow pads work too. My only complaint with them is I have kinda thin arms and the straps are a bit too long for me and wrap around past the end of the velcro part so that only part of the velcro is used. I might try to fix this with sewing. If I were to get a set again, I'd maybe try to get a sleeker/more fitted one for my skinny limbs. However, at the same time, these really do their job in protecting me, so I can't complain too much, and don't really notice them when I'm actually skating, and they don't feel like insanely awkward or anything. So, I think they are not bad for a first set of pads and wrist guards.

Okay so I'm actually obsessed with this gear set! The fit is nice although I believe I maybe should have gone a size up (I ordered a size large) because the sleeve of the pads were a bit tight (mainly the elbow pads) but I prefer them to be tight than loose so hey not bad thing to me! So it’s really all personal preference! I did take a tumble and I’m really impressed I didn’t really feel the fall at all ( I landed on my knee and wrist guards) they did get a bit scuffed but that’s bound to happen!! They held up pretty well and actually made the fall fun because it wasn’t as bad as anticipated! I’m Looking forward to taking a few more falls with these!!! Will order again in the future when these wear out!

I got the adult size. The set is really nice quality and easy to put on, but the sizing is a little big. I'm 5'5 and about 120 pounds. I have very skinmy arms and legs, and the adult set fits, but barely. The velcro is fastened as tight as possible with a lot of extra strap left. I wish the whole strap was covered in velcro so it felt more secure and could wrap around my whole arm instead of just hanging off.

We purchased this set to replace a set of knee/elbow pads for our very active 10 year-old. Her previous pads kept shifting whenever she would wear them, and didn’t protect her as we hoped. After 2 significant falls that led to road rash and scarring, we needed to find something else. During her 1st time wearing these pads, she fell 2x - HARD. To our delight, these pads stayed in place and she was unharmed. Not only did they prevent her from getting scraped but she said that they buffered the impact of the fall amazingly. The scratches on the surface of the plastic guard are visible so we can only imagine what that would have looked like on her skin had she been wearing her previous sub-par gear. If you’re considering this set, just make sure you take measurements exactly as suggested and you will love these, too.
