This review is both for the product and customer service. The product is fabulous. We have had other pick-ups and hesitant to move to wireless. Wish we had done this a long time ago. Sound is amazing, rapid set up and so easy to use. Having the wireless system was a game changer making set up at rehearsals so much easier and not worried about a very expensive instrument tied to chords. The customer service is quick, responsive and a pleasure to work with. We misplaced the amp plug in receiver (our kids walked off with it most likely thinking it was a fun shaped toy) and they replaced this immediately low cost in time for a session. Thank you - well worth it.

I purchased a VV-Wi last year, June 30, 2022. I received the package in good condition. Everything works well with the wireless pick up. I use it everyday for work on the ship. The sound is so clear and natural. I prefer having a wireless pick up as I can move freely without tripping on a cable. After several months, I noticed that the quarter inch adaptor started to loosen inside which made it difficult to connect properly to the receiver. I thought about reporting it to KNA customer service and then the following day I got a response already. George Dinkov, the marketing manager of KNA, replied to my e-mail and he willingly provided a replacement for the quarter inch adaptor. They immediately sent me a new one and it arrived after three days. I was super happy. One year has passed and then a new major issue was found. The switch button of the transmitter broke, leaving the unit turned on. I immediately emailed George regarding the issue and to my surprise, he replied in just a couple of hours. He was so humbly accommodating. He told me that they would be sending me a new unit. I was amazed and excited upon hearing that. They immediately sent the new unit and I got it after three days. When the package arrived, I opened it right away and I saw quite difference in terms of workmanship between the old and new. Aesthetically speaking, the new unit is far better than the old one. I posted photos for you to see the difference. I’m talking about the slots for switch button, micro-usb and cable. It’s amazing that they keep on improving the quality and design of their products. I’m super satisfied with the service that KNA provides for their customers. They provide excellent customer service, offering a perfect remedy and solution to every issue or problem that a customer may have in the future.

I use this pickup with my violin, and it works like a charm. My initial impression was to give this 4 stars because there were some minor glitches with installing it on my instrument, but the quality of sound more than makes up for it. The battery life lasts about as advertised - around 5-6 hours per charge for the transmitter and receiver each. Higher volume and bass settings both drain the battery a bit faster, so with those settings active, I get around 4.5-5 hours per charge. Because I only use it for personal music playing at home, this is not really an issue. Installing the pickup took a tiny bit of work. I had to spend a bit of time adjusting my bridge to fit the pickup. The barrels on the receiver also arrived tightened, and required a pair of pliers to loosen, but otherwise, it was pretty straightforward to install. The instructions say to install it on the E string side, but I've found a richer pickup quality installing it on the G string side. YMMV. It also matches the shade of my chin rest closely enough, so that's a good bonus. Would have been nice if the set came with a pouch for the charging cable, receiver and the barrel key, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, 5/5 for quality of sound, battery life and form factor.

Since I have a KNA 2 it was only natural that when they came out with a wireless version I would buy one. The sound is very good, as on the cable version. The pickup on the violin connects immediately to the receiver without any problems. However the cheap 3.5 to 6.3 converter leaves much to be desired, you have to fiddle with the plug on the amp to get a signal. I have two niggles with the design. Firstly unlike the manual volume control in the cable version, KNA decided to give you digital up and down buttons. That means every time you turn it on you have to reset the volume level. It comes on by default at 8. Secondly the USB charging port is on the inside of the pickup. That means you find yourself with a metal ended cable trying to plug in just above the surface of the violin. Without extreme care this is going to result in scratches. There is a 3.5 aux out socket at one end. Here again 6.3 would have been better to allow use with a standard cable. Three months later I am suffering from lack of sound from the receiver. The connection was dodgy to begin with and needed to be fiddled to het a sound. Now theres no sound at all Adam. Jerusalem. I am happy to say that I contacted KNA and they have sent me a new unit which works well. They also said that they would take my suggestions into account for the future.

Did not receive the piezzo sensor cable. Don’t know if these packages have been opened for the cable to be missing, need to return and order new one.

What I dont like 1 it doesn’t work 2 This was a gift bought a while back so I can’t return it 3 the manual with it says on the parts diagram that the + button is for channel and - button for pairing. Then in the use instructions it says to push the - button to change channels and + and hold to pair. 4 it claims holding the button for pairing will result in rapid flashing after which you turn on the receiver. This rapid flashing never happens, no matter what button you push and hold for 5 seconds Do not buy this for yourself or a friend or a family member. I had great hopes for this pickup system. All in all a VERY disappointing waste of a lot of money.
