Although this is considered a shoe rack, it could be used to organize other things as well. It would be useful in a child’s bedroom or play room to organize their toys and/or books. It’s very easy to assemble and is light weight. The “shelving“ is canvas and, therefore, can probably be washed if necessary. I used the bottom three sections for 16 pairs of my husband’s shoes. The height of the very bottom section does not allow for storing large shoes. It’s best for sandals, water shoes, etc. Since I’m an organizer freak, I plan to organize all of my husband’s many baseball caps on the top section when I have time. For now, though, they caps are in a bin on the top shelf. The reason I’m only giving four stars instead of five is because the cost seems high compared to other similar items. ... show more

I think this product is absolutely perfect for my use in my dorm room, as it fits perfectly in my closet to keep my shoes put away. The only reason I will not give five stars is because they shipped one screw short and we had to go to Lowe’s to get our own, after already purchasing this.
