I really like this chef's jacket. I am not a chef, but I think this is fantastic for a messy home cook. I prefer a chef's coat instead of an apron, as it keeps you much cleaner. Based on the sizing chart, I thought this might be a bit too big for me. It's actually perfect since you wear it over other clothing that can be bulky; this still allows for the full radius of your arms/shoulders. I typically wear a size medium. I'm a size 34DD / 40-inch chest, and this medium fits great with just a bit of space for a sweater to fit underneath, but it is still flattering over just a t-shirt. Order your usual size, and it will be good. The fabric is a nice mix of cotton and synthetic, comfortable like cotton but synthetic enough that it repels a bit of water. I got this for my oldest daughter and she said, less polyester and more cotton since it gets hot in the kitchen and it just made her sweat more. She also said that it was tight around the armholes. I usually wear a size medium, and it has a little room to spare, this shirt is a little tight and I would have to go up a size than usual. The buttons are easy to button up and the length seems to be just fine. However, the material this jacket is made from is very stiff, and hard, and scratchy on your skin. Even with a tank top underneath it is incredibly uncomfortable. Mostly around the arm holes and the neck, it makes your skin feel raw and its very scratchy. I tried washing it in cold as I do all dark clothes, and using fabric softener and dryer sheets. The only thing that happened was the shirt got smaller. I wanted to like it even with the size difference, but I just can't wear this for any length of time, and not at all now that it got even smaller. Sorry guys. ... show more
