I am giving this Chef coat four stars because I personally did not like a few things about the coat. I believe the material is mostly polyester, and it felt different from the Chef Works coats that I wear. It is a very light coat and is fully vented in the back. I just personally do not care for this much polyester worked into my kitchen coats. It is only a single-breasted jacket. Personally, I like being able to flip between the right and left side on my kitchen coats. I did not like the placement of the breast pocket because I felt it was a little low. I am also used to having a separation between my pens and markers in my sleeve pocket. After using this coat, I see now that it's an advantage to have. The coat has done well in the wash and has not shrunk. I have been wearing a very specific brand and type of coat for over a decade. I think this coat is great for a line cook, but not a Chef’s coat. The price of this coat is great. Half the price of what I would typically buy. It is very light and breathable too. I wore mine without an undershirt. If you're an at-home cook and want a chef coat, this would be a great option.

This breathable lightweight chef's coat features the classic double breasted buttons, with an emphasis on lightweight. I'm concerned that perhaps it is too lightweight. Of course only time will tell. It runs on the small size so I would advise going up one size. As stated, I knocked off one star for "too lightweight". If my assumption of that being an issue down the road should prove to be false, I will update then. Happy Cooking!

This is a Large, Chef is 5' 9" and 168, female. With a larger build (male) this would be too tight. I question the accuracy of their size chart. A Medium would have been a much better fit. This is a lightweight mesh fabric, perfect for hot Summers outside or hot kitchens any time! For $19.99 it is totally worth it!

This chef “shirt” from KITCHIEF could have been great. It is made of a polyester blend, not cotton, and is very lightweight and thin - just what you need in an overheated kitchen. The back of the shirt is mesh-like and very well ventilated, which would aid in cooling the wearer. I got it in size L after reading the reviews of this product, but it was too big for my narrow hunched over shoulders - a size M would have been the correct fit. However, the buttons are stitched onto this shirt as an afterthought - you can see the threads all loose and ready to pull apart after a wash. More importantly, however, this item arrived used. You can see food stains in several areas (hint: look closely where my fingers are pointing in my photos). There are even black stains where the buttons go - and there are two tiny pinholes on the inside where the front pocket sits. Even worse, the shirt smelled of month-old sweat. Clearly, the previous buyer used it and then returned it so that an unsuspecting customer would have to deal with it… Returning it and leaving one star for my review because of the poor customer service and for the lousy stitching.

I honestly got this to wear around when I cook for my girlfriend. But it looks very nice and fits comfortably! I got mine in size large and it is probably a bit small, but it fits snugly for me. I'm about 6'1 225lbs with an athletic build so anyone of similar build might do well to size up a bit if they want a looser fit.
