Right out of the box, this one feels much sturdier. The wire gauge is noticeably thicker and coated to help prevent rust—definitely a step up in quality. I really appreciate the thoughtful design. It has not just one, but two higher support wires that are perfect for platters, cutting boards, and other larger items. The silverware holder is also well-designed: spacious, with slightly wider slots that accommodate my round-handled utensils easily. There are even two larger slots that fit bigger knives—my butcher knife fits without issue, which is rare! One of my favorite features is the drip pan. It’s designed with a slope that guides water directly over the edge of my sink. Unlike the flat mats that just let water pool underneath, this setup actually works the way it should. The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my mom. She loved it. Ya'll: it's REALLY big. It holds a ton of dishes and pots. I thought the whole thing was going to be stainless steel so when it first came I was disappointed. The majority of this caddy is plastic with some very thin stainless steel touches but honestly, after using it: it works and it looks nice. I'm not gonna complain. The product came super fast, which I appreciated. The slant on the tray is perfect and water drips into the sink as it's supposed to. It doesn't pool at the bottom and get stinky. It's just a good product all the way around. I don't love the color personally but my mom did so that's all that matters. Good job KitchenAid. ... show more

This KitchenAid dish drying rack is great. It has plenty of space for all my dishes, pots, and utensils, and it feels really sturdy and well-made. The design keeps everything organized while letting water drain easily, which makes cleanup a breeze. I hate when the water pools at the bottom and this dish rack doesn't do that.     • Sturdy, roomy, "legs" not positioned properly

First the positives: The KitchenAid full-size dish rack is sturdy and high capacity. It has a utensil holder that holds a lot of silverware. The drain pan is easy to remove and rinse off. Now the negatives: the four legs curve upwards, by design, so as to hold the drain pan in position. Unfortunately, one of the legs was not bent inwards (as it should have been), and was therefore not properly supporting the drain pan. Another one of the legs was positioned correctly but was curved upwards slightly more than it should have been and this did not facilitate proper drainage of water from the pan. Given that this is a high-end dish rack, I would have expected better quality control from KitchenAid. This dish rack, like the majority on the market, have the plates facing forwards rather than towards the sink. This design decision in combination with the goal of being able to put the rack on either the left or right side of the sink, led KitchenAid to make the plate supports perfectly vertical and not as tall as the supports on old-style dish racks that have the plates facing towards the sink. While this works for most plates, the plates are very close to being perfectly vertical, which makes it easier for them to tip forwards. And if you happen to own plates whose outer edges curve a bit, you could find that your plates tip forward no matter what you do. I view the shorter, perfectly vertical plate supports as a design compromise that could have been avoided with some more creative (outside-the-box) thinking. I ended up returning this rack and getting the Farberware full-size dishrack that uses the traditional layout (plates facing the sink), and costs half the price of the KitchenAid rack. ... show more

i'll keep it simple. i've owned a few of the no-name chinese junk dish racks on amazon before finally spending a bit more on my favorite expensive kitchen brand, kitchenaid. this one is the only dish rack i've used that doesn't bend under the weight of a heavy 12" cast iron or clad stainless pan. this also has a wide drain board, compared to the "funnel" style that all the copycat chinese junk brands use. the funnel style gets gunked up very quicky and is a PITA to clean. the kitchenaid is easy. slide the pan out, wipe it down, slide it back in. lastly, the silverware organization is great. you can either use the slots for knives, spoons etc or remove the slots and use the entire hole. this thing also looks fantastic. zero complaints, as usual with kitchenaid. ... show more

I LOVE this dish drainer. It's a good size for 1-3 people,. It has a great drain tray that drains into the sink and is easy to slide out and clean and it is sturday and a quality product with 3 convient trays for dinnerware. I did take out the little inserts as that worked better for me..

So so happy I got this! Good size, much easier to clean, and most importantly, it comes with a drain pan that drains!!! (Because of the design which makes the pan slope down slightly towards the sink.) Also, looks nice (as dish drainers go). And it’s quite sturdy.
