DC-DC converters like this are great for stepping higher voltages (36V and 48V) down to 12V so you can more easily use standard 12V items. This converter is going into my enclosed solar-powered trike.

I am using this on a small 24V solar system to provide power to a dual car accessory socket. The only thing I plug into the socket is a 60 watt USB charger and a charging cable for a power station that limits the input to 6A (About 70 watts). Works great for this use, but cannot attest to the waterproof or higher power outage.

I tried this out with ~26.5v coming from two LiFePO4 12v batteries in series powering a 12v 600w PSW inverter. I was pulling around 150w at 6a on the input and this converter wasn't even breaking a sweat. It was just barely warm. The output voltage was also a steady ~12.12v. I really appreciate that this also came with a built in fuse holder and two 20a fuses.

This step down converter works as it should. The label on this says 20-60V input, which is actually better than what I saw on the description. So that's a small bonus. Output registers at 12.06 volts so that checks out. Good size, easy to work with, good length of wire to connect, easy to mount with the remade holes on each side, and doesn't get hot. Overall very happy with this step down converter!
