edit to add: finally completed the remodel after 5 long weeks! The back incline on this tub is perfect. At 5’ 7 with long legs and a short torso, I still fit and am perfectly comfortable. Even with the shorter tub length, I don’t feel cramped. The finish is also very smooth and luxurious to relax in. Uploaded a finished photo. I couldn’t be happier getting this tub. It’s absolutely stunning. The finish looks and feels very luxurious. The shape and clean lines are beautiful. The stock photos do not do it justice on the gloss and look. Great value for what we paid. It’s deep and has really good width for a 30” wide tub. I didn’t have a lot of options because this old house only has a 54 1/2 in width in the alcove so I needed a 54” tub and most are 60” or more, but now that I received it, I’m glad I bought it. The box was badly damaged along the top edge of the tub. It looked as if something heavy had grinded on it for a long time. I reluctantly opened it and found holes through all of the layers of bubble wrap and plastic and saw many black marks on the actual tub. I was worried at first, but they all just wiped off and the tub finish had zero scratches on it! I was surprised and happy to know that this finish is so strong. For installation, the adjustable feet on the bottom take a lot of effort to adjust, then move the tub out, adjust again, over and over, but once it’s stable, it’s great! There’s no bending or flexing at all when standing in it. Drain assembly fit perfectly. Will update when reno is complete and tub is used. ... show more

Water sits in the drain recess as any ring I've found is not big enough and Kingston did not respond to my inquiry for assistance. The part should come with the tub! The tub is heavy, bulky and at least a two man job - especially in tight spaces. Adjustable feet help to get it level. Do test it with water to be assured of proper drainage BEFORE you button everything up. After the tub was installed and I was cleaning it up, I found two tiny marks/scratches/holes in the tub's finish. I have to admit that I did NOT inspect the finish with a critical eye before installation, so please let my lack of inspection be your motivation for PRIOR inspection. There's no way that you will want to take the tub out once it is set in place. Despite the problems, the tub is a soaker's dream! I even turned my overfill fitting upside down to gain more room for water. Young ones might need a step to get in it and older ones might need a grab bar to get in or out - the sides are higher than your average tub. Also keep in mind, if the width of your bathroom is the same as the tub, you will need to cut walls in order to put it in place! Enjoy! ... show more
