This is the perfect size Kindle. The built in light is perfectly pleasant & keeps this Kindle reading like a Kindle & not into another backlit screened device. Touch screen is very responsive, and as a longtime Kindle Touch user, it felt familiar from the start.

I liked purchasing the entire bundle kit. I got the cover, the block, and the charging cord. One touch did it all. The charging cord is not the same cord I use for my iphone, so I needed that. The block - yeah, I had some blocks, but it's not a big deal. The cover was essential for first go round. I had it early on. Later, I upgraded to another cover (reviewed that as well - love it). The Kindle is perfect. I read tons. During quarantine though, the librarys are closed. I transferred totally to the Kindle. Basic Kindle is perfect. You can read all kinds of thoughts on which model, but this works great. I chose to pay extra not to receive scrolling ads. Just give me the facts mam! I download books from Libby easily. I get tons of samples, and from there, make a list of TBR's . Then I can delete samples. This simple device is getting me through the quarantine like nothing else! ... show more

This is my back-up, which I have not registered yet. I recently bought one and thought it was good, perfect size for tucking in my purse, But what do you do when you have not charged it recently? You pull out your backup of course or if your traveling companion has nothing to read, you can save the day and offer the use of your back=up which will probably have a couple fun games also. ... show more

This is the fourth Kindle I've purchased. Three before were Paperwhite. Since I can't seem to keep up with them I decided for a less expensive version. I was apprehensive because the Paperwhite design helped with my eyes, but when I got this new Kindle I couldn't tell much difference.
