I was originally hesitant about this purchase because of the price point. I had seen this same item along with another device at a greater price from a non-Amazon website but was not interested in the additional item, so this seemed like a better deal. The item arrived as promised and was well boxed nice enough for gift giving. What was received was a narrow neck liter jar, a one-piece lid, a collard-type lid with the cutting surfaces and directions on how to use. The narrow neck size cutting lid had two cutting places. My disappointment was that you had to manually run what you were cutting against the cutting edges like you would a grater, rather than being able to hold the object being grated and being able to rotate the lid collar, in addition to it being narrow neck size. Did not seem personally safe for my use. As for as Felder I think the product and packaging are good quality but could be better designed. I would not purchase again because of price point of design (for my use). ... show more

Loved the idea. Found it hard to turn. (I'm a senior.) Bought another spiralizer that has a handle and four different sizes of spirals possible. Will use the Kilner jar for storage, and maybe give the spiralizer top to my son. Please NOTE: the reviews under this one Kilner product are all mixed together with reviews of other Kilner products. This is great and fits on standard jars. I wish the spiralizer came separately because I didn't need the jar.

    • Not good on hands and wrist!
This is very hard on the hands and wrist. If you have any arthritis in your hands or wrists (and I mean the slightest bit) I do not suggest you purchase this item. Plus you can only use items that are no thicker than an average carrot! I had to purchase very thin European cucumbers and zucchinis!!! It worked okay for them. This product is now going to be given away as it's been sitting on the shelf in my kitchen. Easier to use a peeler made to use as a spiralizer!!!!!!!! ... show more

I love the convience of the spiralizer. With a caveat ! I would like to purchase just the spiralizer without the jar. The Ball canning jars, regular size sell for on the average 10.00$ for 10.
