Easy to install and a piece of mind as i had this on my 2018 without the large hole filter and it caught a lot of leaves. I just wonder with the fine air filter on top how much it affects air flow into the car or how much harder it has to work to get through it.

This filter comes with a high quality and easy to install support tray for the filter. The tray is high quality and fit perfectly. I had ordered just the filter from a different brand and the filter kept falling inside the inlet. I would place it back in position and would find it again fallen inside. With this support tray, that shouldn’t happen anymore. I just wish they would sell replacement filters in a 3 pack. I can’t believe how dirty the filter gets. Needs to be replaced often. ... show more

Found myself in the market for some kind of filter when I noticed leaves and debris was just falling into my air intake channel. The filter and mesh are a perfect fit, but apparently the filter can lead to the dreaded dirty sock smell that Tesla's can suffer from, since the decreased air flow can prevent the condenser from drying out fully after use. Removed this and the smell improved. Have heard that t his can be modified by drilling bigger holes in the mesh, but have not tried. ... show more

The base grate that you install first seems like the best part and will outlive the filter for sure. The filter itself doesn't seem to want to seal that well and it fairly cheap build but it also looks like the whole stock air duct doesn't appear particularly sealed either so it probably doesn't matter much. I mostly wanted to try to reduce particulate being brought in but also to make sure I block larger objects from getting inside the duct. ... show more

the filter part is very good filter. the plastic part is supporting the filter. only one day it traps dirt and I just tap the dirt out. this will help the main filter inside the cabin less dirt. But how do you get the new filter.?
