For his level of riding, I feel this added just the right protection, while still allowing him to bend at the knee and move his arms without any problem. Easy to clean, just wiped off the dirt. I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my son. When he initially tried it on it was a great fit for him. It was comfortable for him and very lightweight. I was nervous because he is 5 years old and a lot of items bothered him. After the first use, I noticed the threading on one of the leg protectors was undoing. If it didn’t have this flaw, they would be awesome! My son loves the color and now refers to himself as bumblebee from transformers lol. ... show more
