I use the rug right in front of the kids cube storage shelving. It’s a hit, and it has a rubber backing so it doesn’t slide around on our carpet. I don’t think it’s thick enough on a hard wood floor so if you want a plushy feeling, I’d recommend a carpet pad.

I am the wife of this account holder. We bought this for our toddler who is 2 and they automatically fell in love with it. At first they thought it was a blanket in the packaging but once I spread it on the floor they kinda lost their mind. They ran back and forth over it and occasionally patting it saying "wooow." They ran and got their train and immediately started playing on it. It is very comfy to sit on and way better quality than I thought it would be. My kiddos really, really love this rug. It's cute, colorful and a decent size for 3 toddlers to play at the same time. I am pleased with the quality overall. Yes, the pattern repeats, but the toddlers and preschoolers who will be down on the floor with their little toys aren't going to likely care. Mine don't. They take their "patient" to the nearest hospital, just like what happens in real life. Have fun and move on. The only issue I've had, and unfortunately it's been a pretty major one for me, is that it easily snags if you have cats, which we do. That's my fault, not the manufacturer's. But once it does snag, if the string gets pulled on before you catch it and tie it off, it will unravel. So if you have kitties, keep them away from it. If it happens to snag, get it away from the busy little hands, tie it off several times and snip off any remaining threads. Good to go. I would recommend it. ... show more

My boys have really liked this rug. It’s a nice size, they use their race cars and tractors on it. Large enough for multiple kids to play, our family enjoyed it over the holiday. It is thinner so if you put it on hardwood you will want to stick some grippers on the back. All in all it’s a very nice rug for all ages to enjoy. ... show more

    • Lame design that repeats itself
I just gave this to my son for his birthday. Quality seems decent but what drives me crazy is that it repeats the print (town). The design takes up half the rug, then repeats the design on the other half. My 2 year old doesn't notice, but I was hoping for a more detailed car mat like the one I had when I was little. ... show more

This rug is not only nice quality it is also a great toy for my son and adult husband. They will play cars with it for hours along with my son's tracks he has.
