I ordered this bag to use as a travel yarn bag. I keep 2 projects in it, along with the few tools I need. I can quickly grab this backpack and take my current projects with me. With the bright pink color, it is easy to find and gets lots of fun complements. It is pretty basic as for as construction. Not a lot of pockets, but that is good for me. I do wish the outside side pocket were large enough to hold a bottle of water. The sewing is consistent and no loose threads or other construction flaws. The zippers work smoothly. the steps are manageable. The hot pink exterior is water resistant. If it gets a little rain or splash on it, it is easy to wipe and dry away. It is light weight. The size is large enough to hold my laptop, I pad and a couple yarn projects and tools. For me, it is perfect for my needs. It's happy and fun. I think it would be a fun gift for an adult or child. This is an adorable backpack, as described except for one detail: the side pockets cannot hold a water bottle as large as the one pictured in the product description picture. You can fit an average-sized water bottle at best. Other than this issue, this backpack is both cute and functional. It is large enough to hold all of the kid’s essentials. It is also large enough to be used as a camp bag for all their swim gear. The materials are comparable to similar backpacks. Not quite thick or thin. The back has additional padding that offers comfort and breathability. The shoulder straps are thick and very comfortable. They are generously adjustable to fit children of all sizes (even adults). I feel that this is a good value, and a great option for kids ages 5-10.
