This product is AMAZING. About a week ago I went to the Spirit Halloween store and bought a similar costume for about $40.00. The one I bought in that store was very poor quality the bones were glued on and were falling apart, I plan to return that costume. The one I bought here on Amazon, Rubies, this costume is just amazing. Outstanding . The bones are 3D and very good quality and stitched on, not glued. The product did run big in my Son. He is going to be 6, he is on the skinny side and long, about 43 inches, 3ft7 and on the lean side. . Luckily I know someone who can make it fit snug, the costume is very full and wide, so just needs some snugging, if that’s a thing. Anyway, the BEST thing to do for the Glow In The dark effect is to expose the costume to a Black light. Regular light inside a home or sunlight just won’t cut it, I’m experienced with glow in the dark things and how they work. Black lights bring out the glow. Trust. I’d caution on sizing though, if you know someone who can adjust clothe sizes go for it. ... show more

This is a great little costume. My 8 year old, who wears size 8, fits well in the size 12-14. The material in the back is very thin and the back doesn't close all the way, so you'll have to wear a shirt underneath. The mask, gloves, and front of the costume are great quality. Today is Halloween! I got this costume for my almost 4 year old son. He is very excited about being a skeleton. He is about 40 lbs and 42" tall - about average maybe a little larger. I got the child small size. I read the reviews and hoped for the best with this one. I like the costume and the 3D bones. It fits a little large but that's ok for me. It actually does glow in the dark but very faintly. It's like the stars you put on the wall. Immediately after the light is turned off they glow, but give it a few minutes and they fade to dark. If you are wanting something to glow while trick or treating in the dark this is not going to work for you. Not to mention, the back of the costume is completely black. Glow sticks will help. The hands were the only real issue I had with this costume . The hands are ridiculously large - even for an adult. I actually took them apart, cut them down to size, and sewed them on a smaller glove. This works much better. (see photo submitted) The head is great but not sure how long my son will keep it on. Nothing wrong with the costume - my child doesn't even like to wear hats for any length of time. ... show more

Son chose because it glows in dark (needs sunlight exposure before wearing though). Pretty easy to wear. I purposely ordered up a size because my kids love dress up play and keep their costumes after halloween. So it is a little big on him, but expected that. However, the hands are HUGE.... even when costume is a perfect fit, I believe the hands will be way too big for him. Costume can be worn without the hands though, and still a cute costume. Might see if I can alter the hands to fit better, but not a huge problem for us. ... show more

Ours just arrived today. I bought for my 4 year who wanted to be something scarey. He's 44 inches tall, and 43 pounds. I bought the small (4-6) hoping he would have room. The length JUST fits him (a little snug in the inseam) but it's very wide for him (it seems disproportionate, short and fat costume). As other reviewers stated, the gloves are riduculously large - like an adult size large (why on earth would they be so big for a kid's costume?). They are even too big for me. The bone molding is a nice 3D pattern but seems heavy for the nylon jumpsuit it's attached to (causing it to pull a little on the jumpsuit). The mask is a complete over the head hood, but the eyes, nose and mouth are big so he can breath well. The mask does have a strong smell, but we have time to air it out, so we'll see if the smell gets any better. Overall my 4 year old loves it because it makes him look scarey. As for the quality, it's decent, but the fit is awkward. (see picture) ... show more

Bought for my 6 year old daughter. She loved it, and so did we. The costume fit great. But like others said the gloves were big for a child's hands. No matter though she wore them for hours lol. The costume is made well enough that she can use it for dress up or we can give it to someone to use for their kids. So quality is great in my opinion. For the price, i am giving this 5 stars. But it is not very thick and seems like it may rip sort of easily. My 4 year old wears a solid 4t in clothes but this costume is fairly large on him. The gloves (asnother reviews mention) fit my adult hands. He likes it and that's all that really matters.

This was way too big, the fabric was so flimsy that it couldn't support the "sewn on" bones, and the "sewn on" bones were already partially falling off. A couple of squares of velcro doesn't adequately hold up the weight of the bones, which were barely glowing in the dark. Tried to return it and was past the two-week mark. HORRIBLE QUALITY. Since I'm stuck with it, I may try to sew the bone parts on to a sweatshirt and pair of sweatpants for next year. Will never buy from this company again. ... show more
