I love the sturdiness of this nook. It doesn't take up a ton of room, but holds a decent amount of books. I have 4 children and each fit comfortably when they sit in it. The one thing I hate about this product is the pad for the reading nook. You would think with it being a product for children that the pad would be washable. The washed it in cold water and let it hang dry and the pad shrunk a lot. When I went to put the cushions back in they would not fit.

I purchased this on sale because most I've seen second hand were around a similar price point. It was a slight pain to put together, but nothing a determined momma couldn't handle. 💪I purchased this because my children's books are outgrowing their current shelf and this will fit nicely in the dormer in their bedroom. For being a "top brand" I thought the quality would be a little better. There were knicks and scuffs, and chipped paint in some areas. Overall it seems like it isn't as sturdy as I thought. However it will get the job done and my toddler loves to sit on the cushion already. Hopefully it will become a favorite spot for her to read!

While this item seemed absolutely wonderful for my 2.5 year old, just the right size (for her as well as her tall and short books alike), I have to give 3 stars. That might even be generous. The brand new item (ordered in white) came with black finger print smudges all over the pieces. There was smeared adhesive glue and even a few nicks and dings...all from the manufacturer. I am so disappointed at the quality assurance at Kidcraft, I will definitely rethink before buying one of their products in the future. On top of this, one important piece of hardware was not included, making the shelf unstable and unusable. The instructions were pretty straight forward...it took me about an hour+ to assemble all but the last 3 pieces (minus the time I spent looking for the missing hardware piece. I assembled all but the last 2 pieces. I will say, the little number stickers used to identify the pieces were a PAIN to get off. Some didn't come off fully. I used the back of one of the mangled stickers I peeled up to repeatedly press on top of the sticky residue until most of it came up, and repeated with each sticker thereafter (you could use some packing tape too I bet). I'd give fewer stars, but Amazon was quick to come to my assistance and offer a full, hassel free refund. I'm thankful for this. Perhaps my experience was a fluke and the quality of their products is usually better...

The directions were easy to follow and the set-up was able to be completed by one person. It is not the most sturdy and wobbles a bit. It is very cute as a reading nook for children though!

Took closer to 2hrs to assemble, but I found the instructions pretty easy to follow and I added contact paper background and LOVE the final look! It’s going in my first baby’s nursery 🥰 it came with all of the required pieces and an extra of each piece needed. The trickiest part was assembling the two tilted pieces and an extra set of hands is helpful with that part.
