My 2.5 year old loves this! Took my husband about 3 hours to assemble. He put it together in the basement, we carried it up for Xmas morning and back down after with no issues. No complaints, but one comment, there is basically no counter space so I recommend an additional table for kiddo to prep or store appliances. ... show more

Handles for the fridge were not drilled straight so handles are at a slant. Kids don't realize it but I look at it.

    • It’s so adorable but the directions are TOUGH. Very difficult assembly.
I’m here editing my review because I initially thought my kitchen was missing multiple pieces. The good news is that it’s not missing pieces. The bad news is that the directions REALLY make it seem that way. Just be prepared to spend at least an hour understanding the instructions before even beginning to assemble this. And then it will take another 3-4 hours to assemble with multiple people. We almost considered hiring someone to put this together for us. That’s how intense it is. I’m the end I guess it’s worth it because I just can’t stand the old school plastic kitchens and this new style is adorable. But man, I really hope KidKraft works on making this easier to put together in the future. ... show more

No words to tell you directions. You have to look at the picture in a very detailed manner to figure out how to assemble. My only issue was the sink and cook board, the screws and the lock for the screws, not their official names but they don't hold the board in place. I say board because this kitchen is all wood material. So, I'm thinking of putting wood glue. That is my only feedback on this item. Other than that, my daughter loves it. ... show more

    • Beautiful kitchen! So cute and well made... JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT MANUAL FOR ASSEMBLY!!
So, I just spent half the day putting this together for my 3 year-old daughter... It's her Christmas gift, and I seriously spent weeks researching play kitchens and read hundreds of reviews before finally deciding to take the plunge and get this one. A bit of a budget stretch for my family, but it's totally worth it now that I made it through the lengthy assembly--about 4-5 hours on my own with toddler interruptions. It is beautiful! Just like the product photo minus a couple of minor design differences. Perfect size, fits her Melissa & Doug cookie tray and all the other accessories I got to go with it. And she'll be able to grow into it, unlike so many of the smaller play kitchens I came across. I absolutely love it. Maybe a little more wood and less plastic on some of the smaller parts would be nice, like the pink pegs and the oven knobs and stove top burners. But overall, it has such a nice, clean look and is very sturdy so can't complain. Love the clicking sounds when you turn the knobs! One Big Note on Assembly: Yes, there are a lot of parts so it takes a while, but I have assembled many pieces of furniture in my life and honestly, this one does an excellent job of making the process clear and straightforward. You just have to focus on one step at a time and follow the instructions to a tee. And before you start, do your parts & hardware check and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT MANUAL! Apparently, the Uptown Pastel Kitchen has two very similar "models," like basically the same kitchen with only slight design differences, but they each have a completely different set of hardware and assembly instructions. I went through a bit of freakout/headache trying to figure out why the kitchen image and parts shown in the "Installation Manual" I downloaded from Amazon on this product page "looked" like the kitchen I bought but didn't seem to match some of the pieces in my kit and didn't match the hardware AT ALL. Very confusing; thankfully, I called KidKraft's customer service and the woman I spoke with was so kind and helpful and after almost shipping out new hardware to me, she realized I had the wrong manual. My husband and i bought this kitchen for my 3 year old. I did alot of research before deciding which kitchen i was going to go with. I ultimately chose this one cause of the height. Out of all the wooden kitchens on Amazon this one was the tallest one. Besides the pretty pastel colors, it was perfect. Reading all the reviews got me a little nervous though cause some people said they were missing pieces or that some parts came broken. Thankfully everything arrived in great conditon. We even recieved extra pieces. Yes , it is time consuming putting together. My husband had no problems putting it together. Took him about 4 hours. The problem he had was reading the directions. So before you put a piece together with another piece make sure you triple check if it is correct. My husband had to take a part or two off cause it wasn't the correct placement. Other than that, its a sturdy kitchen. It has lots of space. And most importantly my daughter loves it. Even my 11 year old has fun playing with it along with her sister. ... show more

Such a fun size of kitchen. I got it for my preschool. The kids will love it. The only thing to complain about is the instructions they could be a little more detailed.
