We just put this on up. So my review might not be fair. I will come back by end of a month to post an update. So far, the bookcase is cute. Its perfect for my 3yo its definitely not for a 5+ Its tiny. Its not made of the best wood. But it works. We got it for 69usd. I see now it is 91usd. I would not have bought it for 91usd as there are similar or better ones for the same price. The regular 10x10 bins do not fit in the cube spaces. I managed to some how put in 2 of the 10x10 bins on the end spaces. The middle 2 spaces are smaller and there is no way you can fit a 10x10 bin there. So far im pleased with it. Works for us. My 3yo and 9mo seem to like it quite a bit too. Hope to come back in few months to post an updated review. . إن شاءالله EDIT Its been a month. Still good. The only complaint i have it that the seat cushion is not removable so im not sure how to wash it. Still love the product tho. ... show more

Overall 5 stars . It durable for 5 years and younger. I got this for my 9,7,and 6 year old for study time. While the assembly was rather easy as long as you follow the steps. I must say it's not as sturdy as I hope but its deff 4 star worthy perhaps 4 1/2. I fell it should last for some time as long as the kids arent too rough with it. There was a few scratches . Minor. Not worth the hassle of sending it back. It's a good product. I will be ordering another. I thought it was bigger but its actually quite perfect. ... show more

Whatever your religion is seriously get on your knees and pray for patience before you start. Got this for my 5 and 3 year old for Christmas. It was on sale. Lets start by saying I wish I would have read the reviews. Lets start with the building part. They dont differentiate in the pictures which sides are the brown sides and which are the white sides so after it was together I had to paint over the brown parts to match the library because it assembled wrong. Then I got about 2/3 of the way through and realized the screws were really made from Satan himself. They are supposed to just easily go inside and turn the bolt to hold it in place. Ha. Haha. Hahaha to this. 3.5 hours before I gave up and used wood glue to make sure it is stable enough. Then when you assemble the VERY last step, you realize the bolt and screw they give you do not work on a SLANTED wood piece. 2 bolts stripped because you cant get the screw into the bolt because of the angle. So Idk what Im going to do about this because its very unsturdy. On top of it it just turns to dust when youre building it. Seriously dust everywhere from the wood just being cheap as ever. It took me and my boyfriend (a construction worker) 4 hours to finish this piece of crap. It definitely will not fit my 5 year old and theres no way my 3 year old is relaxing comfortably on it. Save your money or look for something that has better reviews. I would 100% return it if I didnt paint it (which I was doing when my bf realized the screws dont work). And it will only hold maybe 10 large books. So if you have a big library for your kids good luck. ... show more

I've put more than my share of flat-packed furniture together and I struggled with this one. Largely due to the angled pieces and incorrect depth of the pre-machined nut holes. Fully assembled the shelf is quite cute and sturdy. It is small (surprisingly small), but is unique in its style with a seat within a shelf. Instructions are well written and I like that the fasteners box actually labels the letter of each fastener (no guessing which screw is what length). All the wooden pieces were labeled also. So knowing what goes where was simple. The angled wooden pieces use hinged fasteners (D part). I first thought they were clever...but after I put them in snug, then part "E" would not turn cause the bolt was not tall enough. Numerous removal, half turns of the hinged bolt, reassemble and it finally turned into place. Additionally, some of the holes that the nut "E" go into are not drilled deep enough. Such that the nut won't even fit in snug with no matching bolt at all (they stick out 1/8"). I had to dig the hole deeper with a flat head screwdriver. They do include a few extra fasteners which is nice. In the end, it looks nice, but the poor machined holes and hinged bolts were problematic during set up. Note also that those ubiquitous fabric bins that fit perfectly into the 3x3 and 2x3 shelving units you can buy everywhere, are too large for this shelf. ... show more
