Poor pneumatic lid strut design
The toy box looks great, but I found three problems with it: 1) The cheap wood it's made of is part of the reason for problem #3 2) The pneumatic struts only open far enough for the lid to be about 2/3 of the way open, contributing to problem #3. 3) The toy box can only be opened to roughly a 45 degree angle without pulling out the pneumatic lid struts that keep the door open. My then 28-lb. daughter opened the lid, then while pushing it open broke the struts - the screws ripped right out of the lid despite being securely fastened (My budget has resulted in my having very extensive and successful experience with putting together relatively cheap furniture such as this). Most adults, let alone little kids are not going to remember, every time, on a long-term basis, that the lid on their toy box should only be opened gently, and only about two thirds of the way, during normal hectic playtime. 4) Once the struts don't work, the lid won't stay open when pushed all the way back. 5) I will have to attempt to place the struts at a different location, or rig up some kind of rod or mechanism to keep the lid open.

Fantastic, sturdy, roomy chest
I am single without kids and got this trunk to help store cat-rescue related items (yes, yes, insert joke about crazy cat women here). When I received this box - was it HEAVY!! I looked at the detailed instructions with trepidation but decided to take it one step at a time. Each part and parcel did fit together perfectly. It actually was remarkable how well each tiny piece fit together. When I finally finished assembling it - phew! It's adorable, and strong - I can easily sit on it. Also, the floor of the box sits flush against the floor, which is great so when I put very heavy objects in there (like case upon case of wet food) I don't have to worry about the legs giving way. I also love the slow safety close lid. All in all, a great and roomy sturdy storage box.

Paint comes off onto toys
Not even 1 month old and paint is coming off. Almost as if it was melted. Had a rubber ball in the toy box and wherever the ball was in contact with the box, the paint has come off and onto the ball which inevitably got all over my 1years hands while she was playing. Box is not near a heater nor has the ball ever been warm enough to cause the paint to practically melt/wear off onto the ball

CUTE!
Bought this for my daughter's room. We have a toy kitchen made by Kidkraft so I bought this hoping it would be the same color pink and same great quality and we were in luck! It is so cute and a great size! Only downfall was I thought I read in the item description that no assembly was required, but I was wrong. It came in pieces and we had to build it and it was kind of a pain. The little wrench they provided did not tighten anything so at first it was a little wobbly when opening and closing it until I found something else I could use to tighten the bolts. Now it is great and sturdy, but I gave it 3 stars for assembly. Great buy though for cute and perfect storage for your kids! My daughter loves it and it looks great in her room!

Almost perfect...
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my step-daughter. Its done well so far. The set up was not all that complicated so long as you follow the instructions. Its big enough to keep plenty of toys for when she comes over. We have it put up in a corner for when she's not home. The only downside is that its not easy to move. We have to drag the toy box when she wants to play since its put away. We have wood floors so the first time she tried moving it on her own it scrapped the floor. It would have been perfect if it came with some small wheels to make it easier to move. All and all it was a great buy except for that.

Nice But...
I bought this for my daughter toy's, the first one they sent was stolen, so they sent another out, the second one was missing the hinges to hold it up. Its so nice but without the hinges I don't want my baby girl to get hurt. The wood is heavy and if it falls on her head. It will definitely hurt her. Although the complications , its very nice!

PERFECT!
I dont know about how east it is to assemble as my boyfriend did it while I was at work BUT its PERFECT! I was worried it wasnt going to be enough but it definitely is. Theres even more room for her new toys for Christmas. The paint is perfect. No blemishes or scratches and it works so well.

Great toy box.
Great toy box! Fits lots of toys. Easy to assemble. Looks great. Only con would be the sticker placement. I should have removed the stickers before assembling. Can not get to some of the stickers to remove because they are behind the hinges on the lid. Not a deal breaker, just annoying because you can see them.

CUTE!
