Bought a 6-pack of KN-COSM-IBA to replace mine after one shot craps and wouldn't shut up about it. It's only been 7 years and I think they say 10 - shocker! Arrived ahead of expected delivery date (in 4 days). Came in the manufacturer box only but no real damage to the exterior packing and individual boxes were fine. Everything included - exactly what I could have gotten at a big box store but $4-5 cheaper per unit. Still expensive but whatever. It was easier to just replace mine with the same old model and not have to redo the wiring. So far so good.....day 1 ... show more

I bought these cause I had kiddie alarms that got too old and I was hoping they’d plug in to my current system without needing to do any wiring. Luckily they did. They came with backup batteries which is nice except the battery was dead I had to replace them immediately after installing the alarms. For the price of these alarms they should come with working batteries…. ... show more

I bought 5 of these to replace 10 yr old Kidd smoke detectors. These are compatible and easy to install. We shall see how long these last. Only complaint is that these detectors came in a beat up boxes, I am not sure if they are really new or used.

Great units easy to install, a little more sensitive than the last ones I had. They go off every time I use my oven! They do not respond to "Shut up you judgy nag!!" you actually have to push the button to hush it. Overall a good unit.

I purchased these as a replacement for 6 of my 7 hardwired smoke detectors after the old ones malfunctioned. They were easy to install and have proven effective. The one closest to the kitchen accidentally triggers way more often than the previous ones, which never went off because of drips in the oven, but that's a good problem to have.
