The simple & reliable operation is designed to combat fire hazards using the PASS (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) firefighting method to fight fire from various angles. Molded from lightweight aluminum and fitted with a simple-to-read pressure indicator, the durable valve assembly is designed for years of use. The wall mount bracket lets you mount the extinguisher in an easily accessible place so it’s always ready for an emergency. The easy-to-pull safety pin gives you quick access and an ergonomic, rust and impact-resistant steel handle provides a remarkably comfortable grip. Note that the dry chemical agent in this fire extinguisher is non-toxic and won’t damage appliances but may cause skin irritation. Place a fire extinguisher within easy reach and on every level of your home where fires are more likely to start. Contains 2.5 lbs. of sodium bicarbonate, a fire-extinguishing agent. I recently added the Kidde Kitchen Fire Extinguisher to my home safety toolkit, and while I sincerely hope I'll never have to use it, I already feel more at ease having it on hand. This fire extinguisher, specifically designed for home use, particularly for grease fires which can be a common hazard in kitchens, comes from Kidde, a brand that's both reputable and well-known in the safety industry. This alone gave me a lot of confidence in the product's reliability and effectiveness right from the start. One of the standout features for me was the ease of installation.     • Accidents happen. Be ready to keep them small.

Replaced one exactly like it. When you live in Rural Areas being ready to deal with things when they are small is a must. Before help can arrive the small thing has become a major disaster. Being useless I didn’t clean out my grill as frequently as I should. I left it on high to self clean. The grease gathered and dried caught on my gas grill. On my covered porch. I don’t do fear. So I calmly walked inside and got my Kitchen Fire Extinguisher. It is made for grease fires after all. I gave a couple little spurts and the fire was out before my covered porch went up in a blaze of idiocy. So I bought a replacement for the kitchen. The secret is to stay calm and just deal with it. Clean up may be a bit of a pain, but not nearly as painful as explaining to the Insurance Company that the house burned down. ... show more
