I bought two packs of these Christmas balls to add a little color to my tree (I have a lot of white lights). Most of the other offerings were for balls that seemed a little small; so I opted for the larger ones, despite what I considered to be a more-than-comfortable price. The balls arrived fairly quickly, and they were undamaged, in spite of the meager plastic wrapper. Now I decided to keep them, but I will tell you that a four-inch ball is rather a large one. The difference between 4 inches and something like 3- to 3-1/2 inches is definitely noticeable. So make sure you want this larger size. Other than that -- and the inflated price -- the product is quite nice. By the way, the packaging includes wires that are meant to be used as hooks for the tree. ... show more

    • Just what I was looking for!
We have a 12 foot Christmas tree in a large room. Last year after hours of decorating with my husband, I couldn't believe how, despite having placed so many ornaments on the tree, they sort of disappeared when looking at the tree from a distance. Then I saw a large tree in another setting with extra-large ornaments on it and it hit me. Proportion, of course! The large/tall tree in an extra large room needed bigger ornaments to stand out. This year I'm hoping the tree really pops with the these 8" ornaments (mixed with our other ones). I'm excited to see how it turns out. The ornaments themselves are beautiful, large and worth the money... however. I had to knock off a star due to the packaging. They’re stuffed in a box together (bought the 4 pack in rose gold) and these are thin enough to break, needless to say, 2 were broken. I contacted Amazon but they’re shattered and I didn’t want to send it back, might just throw the two away and take the loss... I’ll see. But if they came while they would be well worth the money. The pictured ornaments look of higher quality than what you receive. I have seen better quality mercury ornament balls at a much cheaper price...like $20 cheaper. The size is good but the quality is not up to par to the cost. I used the set I bought but on the back side to the wall that is not as visible. It seems like Amazon is getting lazier in the quality control of items they choose to sell on their site. ... show more

Luckily found exactly what I wanted with these quality great priced ornaments I needed. I bought 12 gold 4" ball ornaments for outdoor use. (I use a lot of only soft white lights on the house.) They look perfect where I wanted them. I decorated my 6ft wide house wreath with them. These ornaments shine day, and then night the lights lit on them. Overall, I am happy with my purchase, the only annoying thing is that the metal pieces at the top that hold the hanger on are very loose and not secure so they all popped off. I had to super glue them back on and they are sturdy now, so in the end it worked out.
