I just purchased my first house 2 months ago. I needed some storage options for my bathroom for all my hair products. I really liked the way these floating shelves looked and I mean come on you can't beat the price. NO they are not really wood but I hope no one expects high end for this price point. I put these up myself in about 20 minutes. I will say they only thing I would recommend is to go to home depot or any home improvement store and buy a higher quality drywall wall anchors. The wall anchors that come with this product are horrible. DO NOT even attempt to use them, you will just damage your wall. The things I use to install the shelves were drywall anchors for 50 lbs, a small hammer,screw driver and a small level. A tip I found very helpful is using painters tape to hang items that require precise hole placement. You can google "painters tape to hang pictures" and watch some useful videos. Makes life so much easier when hanging things on the wall. Do remember when hanging these particular shelves on the wall that the shelve will slide down to lock into place. So make sure you keep that in mind when spacing therm apart. Overall I am planing on ordering two more sets because I love them so much! Awesome Product! ... show more

These shelves were an impulse buy as I originally wanted one long shelf. I bought 2 sets (so in total 6 shelves). I was pleasantly surprised by the size and how well they work with my room! They are sturdy, I have my candles on three, the other three currently hold my make up by my vanity and I’m so happy with how well they’re holding up. I have never put anything up with nails or drills, I usually use those double sided tape hooks, BUT these were easy to put up with nails. They come with instructions, stickers to mark, and the nails. I used the “ruler” and sticker it came with to mark where I want them and to help me drill the holes. ... show more

I've actually purchased these before, from a different retailer, but these were a little better. They're pretty nice, they fit a lot on them and are sturdy. I recommend having the screw heads pretty close to the wall, it gives a snug fit for the shelves which is what you want. The colors are nice, and the finish doesn't come off easily. Each pack of three comes with a little paper guide to help you drill holes evenly (even if you're like me and just screw the screws right into the wall). Make sure you line up your paper up with the TOP of the shelf otherwise your shelf will sit about an inch lower than where you want it when you slide it on to the screws. There's a nice detailed wood texture too, even though the wood is compressed wood. (Ignore my nerd books) ... show more

I put these shelves up in my sewing room. I love the look and the color, and having three of different sizes offers flexibility of arrangement. The enclosed pre-marked measuring strips make it very very easy to install the shelves exactly where you want them! Bought these for 10 and some change 2 weeks ago, That is a fair price for them, I noticed that the priced just raised to over 16 dollars. Percentage-wise, that is a significant increase in price! Hopefully it's a temporary glitch, and the price will go down soon. They are made of a composite fiberboard, which is completely exposed on the back, It has a nice, sleek looking veneer covering the rest of it. They align flush with the wall and hold steady as long as the screws are jutting out from the wall about 1/4 of an inch. The wall anchors were useless, I couldn't even figure out how to use them (FYI there are no instructions included), as they were different than other wall anchors I have installed before... much smaller than the large screws that come with this. Overall, I would buy them again, at the $10 price range that I purchased them. I do need more shelves, but unless the price goes back down within a day or two, I will be looking at something higher quality, at a comparable cost. ... show more
