I ordered these on an Amazon deal, for $10 (which included shipping). They were shipped by UPS, and arrived very well packed and intact. I ordered the "espresso finish," and it is a brown/black color. I am using these in my office to get some clutter off my desk and make use of wall space: The largest one is being used to hold my mini shrimp ecosystem and a desk sorter with a weekly planner, etc. in it. The medium one is being used to hold a set of three small cacti that weigh approximately 2-3 lbs total. I haven't yet decided where to put the small one, or what to put on it. Because of the material of my walls (a bit sturdier than regular drywall), the long length of the screws provided, and fact that I didn't intend to put more than a couple pounds of weight on any of these shelves, I decided not to use the provided anchors, and the shelves seem to be attached pretty well to the wall. The shelves are not very deep, and the instructions state that the maximum weight capacity is 4.4 lbs., so these are clearly meant more for display than storage. They do a pretty nice job displaying things. They have a clean look to them, like a floating shelf. You can't go wrong for $10, or even for the regular price of $15. I was pleased with the quick installation of these shelves. The instructions are on point and they show you exactly how to make the installation work smoothly. I did use a cheap little laser leveler and followed the instructions from there. The laser leveler is not needed, any standard fluid leveler will work, to make sure your are taping the template up straight. I purchased these shelves to hold some of my model boxes. Perfect size for displaying a few plastic model kits on the wall as well. I will probably put the models on the shelf once they are built. All-in-all I am completely satisfied with this product! The finish is also as stated on the site. I chose the espresso color and it is almost a dark black-ish brown just as I wanted. ... show more

When I read the reviews for these shelves, I felt like it was risky taking a chance on them but I must say, in my experience, I had very minimal problems. The package arrived in great condition, no scratches or chips or any other damage. The shelves turned out to be exactly what I hoped for. The only issue I have would be the wall anchors. Cheap quality, not trustworthy if you are planning to place anything breakable on these shelves. I attempted to use one wall anchor, made the hole in the wall, lightly tapped the plastic anchor with a hammer and it began to warp. I could have made the hole larger but even then, I'm not too confident about the stability of these anchors. I ended up using my own that holds 70lbs (I'm not recommending you put anything this heavy on these shelves but I always feel safer using one heck of a sturdy wall anchor than to learn the hard way that I should have used a stronger type). It took a good bit of time measuring out where to properly place the screws to align just right with the holes on the shelves, and I used a level to make sure my friends did not get any good laughs at my expense. When all was said and done, I got the shelves up just right, no major mistakes. They are sturdy, they serve their purpose and for the price they are worth it. While I cannot speak for anyone else, I can say I am quite happy with my purchase and the quality of the shelves. The only reason I give this four stars instead of five is because a lot of people might not have their own wall anchors on hand and I can see how the lesser quality of the included anchors could be frustrating for those folks. But if you are careful with how you insert them, you should probably be just fine. ... show more

These shelves were an impulse buy as I originally wanted one long shelf. I bought 2 sets (so in total 6 shelves). I was pleasantly surprised by the size and how well they work with my room! They are sturdy, I have my candles on three, the other three currently hold my make up by my vanity and I’m so happy with how well they’re holding up. I have never put anything up with nails or drills, I usually use those double sided tape hooks, BUT these were easy to put up with nails. They come with instructions, stickers to mark, and the nails. I used the “ruler” and sticker it came with to mark where I want them and to help me drill the holes. ... show more

I bought these shelves with the intent of using one (I only needed one little shelf) but for this price, I figured I can find a use for the other two. I’m currently using the smallest shelf to hold my battery tender up next to my car in the garage because leaving it on the floor next to the car was, well messy looking with all the cables AND it was attracting creepy crawlers to hang out in the cables. Do note, these are super small little shelves, but that’s exactly what I wanted. I needed it to take as little space as possible since the garage isn’t exactly huge and spacious and my car is kind of wide with large doors. Basically it needs all the space it can get. And these little shelves work perfectly in the garage. I’ll probably use the other two in the garage as well. Oh, we did use our own hardware though. No biggie.
