Scent: Shiyaaka Shadow
Shiyaaka Shadow is one of the more interesting launches I’ve tried lately. From the get-go it opens with a crisp hit of grapefruit and pink pepper, softened by lavender - fresh but with spice. As it dries down, warm woods and amber come through strongly, leaning toward cedar and cashmere wood, which gives it a really nice richness. The finish is deep: musk, patchouli, and a mossy, earthy undertone that lingers. Performance is good. It lasts pretty well through a work day, though the projection and sillage mellow after a few hours. It’s not a “beast-mode” fragrance, but one that feels refined and wouldn’t overwhelm in close quarters. It’s versatile enough to wear during the evening or cooler weather, and it gives off a confident, mature vibe without trying too hard. A couple of caveats: the opening can feel a bit sharp or bracing if you’re sensitive to strong citrus or spicy notes. Also, as it wears off, the scent gets more subtle - nice, but you’ll need to reapply if you want more projection later. Overall, this is a solid fragrance that delivers good value for what you get. If you like woody-amber blends with a spicy edge and aren’t expecting monstrous projection, Shiyaaka Shadow is definitely worth a try. ... show more

I purchased the products because it is a “dupe” for the Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Elixir men’s cologne. I love the original Bad Boy Elixir but once it’s on my skin it just doesn’t smell the same. So I opted for the “dupe” that I found online and it is a very closer “dupe”. This one is a tad sweeter but otherwise very close to the original. It is a very strong and effective scent for a nice night out with your partner. This will definitely be in my rotation and I will look to purchase more as needed! My girl can still smell it on me after work when she is up close. this is pretty versatile and I have worn this to work, church, on a date, and just out in town and it has worked. As a small fragrance collector with a little over 80 bottles, I’m always curious when new fragrances drop. I already own a few bottles from Khadlaj and have had a pretty good experience with the brand so far. Recently, I kept seeing Shiyaaka Shadow all over my TikTok FYP. I know most of those videos are marketing, but I still wanted to try it , especially since it’s supposed to be inspired by Bad Boy Cobalt, which I like. When I finally got the bottle and sprayed it, I was honestly surprised at how light it was. On a test strip, I could barely smell it, and on my skin, it faded really fast. I’m guessing it’s because the batch is still new and needs some time to mature, so I’m planning to let it sit for about a month and try again. But for now, it definitely does NOT last 7–8 hours like some people claim. Scent-wise, I wouldn’t call it a dupe of Bad Boy Cobalt, there are some similarities, but it’s not a 1:1 match like some creators say. The main thing I pick up is a fresh plum note, which dries down into something more woody after about 10–20 minutes. This is a fresh scent, but not your typical “soapy” or aquatic fresh, it’s a darker, masculine kind of fresh, which makes it stand out a bit more. It gives me a masculine, fresh “AXE shower gel” type of vibe (but in a good way!). It’s not offensive, super easy to wear, and works year-round. Overall, this doesn’t smell like a high-end designer fragrance, but it’s definitely pleasant and easy to like. It won’t blow you away or get you tons of compliments, but for under $40, it’s a decent choice if you just want something fresh and clean for everyday wear, and it's a worthy pickup. One thing to note: projection is really weak at first, so don’t expect beast mode performance. People will have to be pretty close to you to smell it. This a good fragrance for men and can be worn just about anytime. It's like 75 to 80 similar to Bad boy colbalt. But it's a lot muskier than Bad boy colbalt. Which may be a good thing if you like musky scents. The longevity is pretty good not amazing but should get you through a work day if applied medium to heavy.
