Lack of instructions - Very Close to OEM
This is the second case I’ve purchased on Amazon and this is the closest to OEM that I’ve found. There are no instructions of how to put it together, which has lead others to complain that it’s hard to put together. However after close examination and trial and error, You Have to take everything apart! First with all the pieces connect the top (where the key ring goes through the fob) and connect it to the center piece that holds the battery. The bottom of the key fob case then slides in and snaps to the center piece of the Fob that has the batteries. Third, insert the electronic board in the silicone (with the battery contacts up) and put it in the Fob case that has the buttons on it. Finally, if you have everything together snuggly, the front and back of the Fob case will snap together by starting where the key ring holder is and then pressing it together. Hope this helps someone.

Gets the job (mostly) done
Price was reasonable for a plastic shell and blank emergency key. It looks and feels like the OEM fob but it did not install easily with the circuit board and battery. The replacement fob snapped together nicely when there was nothing inside. Once you place all the components inside the replacement fob, it did not want to snap together. I was able to reused the parts on the OEM fob that were not broken to get everything to snap and secure in place.

It does take a little work, but once done works great!
Value was great because a complete one is more expensive and the inside worked just the case was no good.

Bad product
If I could give this zero stars I would. The front and back wouldn't even go together but I didn't realize this until after I had taken my old key fob apart. It was already broken and there was no way I could get the old one back together. It was super horrible. I even took it to an autoparts store to see if they could get it work and they couldn't. I ended up buying a different brand and throwing this one away.

Tough time with batteries
The product overall seems pretty good and durable. Unfortunately the original case (Ford), has these little details built in that are not obvious to these third parties. The worse time I had was having the batteries CR2025, stay in place like they did in the original case. They kept popping out no matter how many times I removed and replaced. It was tricky and took a long time before I was able to take the top piece and place it over the battery part which is not the way to put back together, because it is usually the opposite. This way, it held the batteries upright which allowed me to place the larger front cover over just right to slip over, hold the batteries and click together. Of course this took numerous tries. I dread now having to change the batteries. It will not be any fun nor a quick change and go.

Relatively easy to swap inerds with my broken fob
I rate this as a five star, because it was just what I needed, but there are two minor points to mention. First, in the original fob casing there is a small foam pad that presses against the microprocessor. There is no pad in the replacement, so I scraped the original off and super glued it into place. Second, there is a thin flexible plastic divider that separates the two batteries, that was not included with the new shell. I removed the old divider and put it in the new shell, but I was unable to secure the divider to the plastic swivel pin that secured it in the original, but I don't think there is any problem with leaving unsecured in the new shell.

Works as advertised
I broke my key ring loop on my original 2017 Ford Explorer keyfob, and ordered this to repair it. Taking the old fob apart, getting the parts out I needed, and putting them into the new fob took less than 5 minutes. However, the 1st time, it was hard to get the new key fob closed. But once I got it closed the 1st time, it seems like I've had no real trouble opening and closing it since, such as when I recently had to change the battery. This saved me a couple hundred dollars compared to going to the dealer to get a new key. I highly recommend this kit.
