    • Backlit - that's the key.
Don't know how I missed it, but this mirror is backlit. A lot of them are lit on the front edges of the mirror. It's an important distinction, especially if you choose a darker wall color. This mirror will not light up the sink area enough to apply makeup, and I think also to shave. We had already decided to keep lights above the mirror - good thing. This mirror came with instructions, but they don't appear to me to be detailed enough on installation. But we used professionals for the remodel and they were very familiar with installation of these mirrors anyway as they are so popular now. I did much much research and this was the least expensive of the mirrors available in the size I ordered - and least expensive by about $900. It's beautiful and I think we will be very pleased or years to come with it. Good purchase at a reasonable price. Just know that the mirror itself gives off light for aesthetics, not to be of use in grooming. You will need another light source for that. ... show more

This mirror looks great! I had a handyman install it because the mirror is pretty delicate around the edges. The installation uses drywall anchors (our handyman used larger anchors than the ones provided to hold the weight of the mirror) and screws that match up with the holes on the frame. The push button power button works well. This mirror cane be hardwired or comes with a plug. The light white light and the attached picture is on the highest setting. The media could not be loaded. Don't think this is UL approved based on the wiring setup. Wires exit rear through hole which won't allow flush mount of mirror. Mirror not grounded. Don't try to mount this yourself unless very skilled. I would not mount this with drywall anchors as instructions show, chance of mirror falling and breaking on sink/vanity too high. Appearance is nice, lighting is accent or night light level. Lights are directed along wall surface which will highlight any minor imperfections on the wall it is installed on. The anti fog heater on the one I received turns on by itself randomly. Not good for energy savings or confidence in the internal wiring/electronics. If it persists will disassemble and deactivate the heater or install toggle switch. Two things I would recommend to the manufacturer are: 1. Provide installation bracket to mount the assembly 2. **EDIT** read the below original review to understand my edit. I now give the product 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1- they have fixed the issue of program memory. meaning that if you had the light on and the defrost on when you hit the wall switch, next time you walk in the bathroom, the wall switch WIL turn light and defrost back on (previous version did not. 2 buttons process) 2- their customer service have gone above and beyond what my expectations were! they have reached out and made me aware that, at the time I placed my order, although the new version (memory function) was for sale, some of the old versions were still floating around Amazon warehouses. they offered me the option of a partial discount (due to missing function), or a brand new parcel. I went with the latter. the shipment was incredibly fast, and i am please to announce that my contractor was finally able to swing by and instal it (no professional installation needed, but since it was part of my house remodel, I'd rather not get my hands dirty if I don't have to :) ) furthermore, the support has taken into account my criticism with the position of the mounting holes, and he is going to talk to their design team. GOOD JOB on listening to constructive criticism. overall I'd highly recommend the product both for look and functionality, and for the customer support that stands behind their products. (sorry for the lengthy review) **ORIGINAL**it is a great looking mirror and it'll make any bathroom look 10x better, as long as the wall that it is hanging from, is smooth or tiled. Otherwise, it'll show EVERY SINGLE imperfection. so much so, that we had to tile our bathroom wall to fix the issue (it would have probably have been cheaper to get a different mirror, but we were on the fence about tile to begin with, and this just finalized our decision). 2 big draw backs to justify the 3 stars: 1- the mirror does not have the on/off memory function. meaning, that even if it is hard wired like ours, toggling the bathroom switch, DOES NOT turn the mirror light on. you still have to press the touchpad on the mirror. we have 3 more lighted mirrors of 2 different brands in other bathrooms, and they have this function. 2- the holes for hanging are WAAAYYY too close to the edge, so the hole on the tile is visible from the side (and I know the tile person was excellent as it did a lot of work throughout the house). overall I like the look of the mirror and I am sure to some these drawbacks are not such. ... show more

It’s a beautiful mirror...but it doesn’t work. Power and defogger lights are on but the LED backlights don’t turn on. Ordered early in the project for bathroom and since it’s the last thing to get installed, the return window has closed. Will see how company does on replacing. Edit: The company reached out when I just installed as-is without the functioning LED lights and resolved the issue. Stellar customer service ... show more

Once installed it looks beautiful. However installing was a project. You are not able to take mirror apart in two pieces for easy installation. I was able to design a template and then it’s was able to install and make it perfectly level. If you try to install based on their directions it will not be perfectly leveled. The best feature that I like it that I was able to get it to work with my motion switch so it automatically tunes on as you walk in. Everyone loves it. I’m also able to turn off the feature and make it manual. I took photos but for some reason it will not let me post them. ... show more
