These boots are perfect! I don’t consider myself a person with skinny calves, but every other boot I was trying had my calves floating. These are absolutely what I was looking for and so far they don’t seem to be bothering my feet, which are somewhat flat and I have bunions. I’m wearing them to a show tomorrow so if they turn out to make my feet ache, I’ll update my review. The leather is beautiful and I love the shape of the boot and the heel height is just right as well. I wear a 10 or 10.5 M. I ordered 10 M and the fit is just right.

Wasn't really sure if I would like these boot because of the back of the boot being fabric. I LOVE them. But... they run large. I wear a size 7. I was sent a size 6. When I saw they were a size 6 I immediately thought I would have to return them. But to my surprise they fit perfectly, even with a pair of heavier socks. I have very thin calves, most boots are too wide at the top. These boots fit my leg perfectly. The fabric stretches so someone with a LITTLE wider calf could wear them comfortably. This boot I would not recommend for someone with larger calves. This boot is only 10.5" calf circumference, which fit my 11" calf circumference perfectly. So anyone needing a smaller calf circumfrence, this is the boot for you. They come right up to my knee, I am 5'1" and 105 pounds. The quality is very good. Quality leather and well made. I will be ordering another pair in a different color. But, remember to size down when ordering.

These boots look fabulous and are comfortable out of the box. They fit my slim 13" calf perfectly and could stretch a bit wider than that, too. The back is a very stretchy fabric. I ended up sending these back because I had to choose between 2 pair and the other pair was just THAT good but these puppies are definitely going back on my Wish List for another day.

Took a size 6. Soft leather and comfortable foot bed. Great for very thin calves and comfortable for my bunions too but not made for short girls. I'm 5'1 and the front comes up mid knee cap. I dont have unusually short legs. They make boots for narrow calves, wide calves but never consider petite for shorter legs. They need to adjust their height for size 5-7 as most women with a size 7 or less are usually not 5'8".

Purchased these in my usual Size 8 in both black and brown. I took a chance, as each color was available in a new-but-used condition at a discount of nearly 50%! The black pair had no tags and the bottoms were a little dusty - clearly someone had worn these and changed their mind. The brown pair was PERFECT - tags, all the cardboard things still inside... not sure if someone accidentally sent me a BRAND NEW pair, again, for nearly 50% off! In any case, these have beautiful, soft-yet-sturdy leather on the foot and front, and a stretchy ribbed fabric up the back. I have thin calves and boots are always too wide on me, but these fit comfortably with some room too so they're not tight. I am so happy - to get two pairs of fabulous boots for under $115?!?! Ecstatic! If you have smaller calves, these will make you so happy!

The Good: Visually, these boots are 5-star winners. The leather quality is solid, and the narrow shaft provides a sleek, tailored silhouette that is perfect for those with slimmer calves who usually struggle with "gaping" boot tops. The long zipper makes them easy to put on. The Dealbreaker: Despite the looks, these are functionally unwearable. The internal plastic heel counter is built too high and is incredibly rigid. With every step, the top edge of this plastic digs directly into the bottom of the ankle bones. The Failed "Fix": I attempted to remedy this with thick heel inserts to elevate my foot above the plastic edge. However, because the boot is so sleekly designed, there isn't enough vertical volume (instep room) to accommodate an insert without making the boot painfully tight across the top of the foot. The Verdict: This is a fundamental failure in understanding foot anatomy. Unless your ankle bones sit unusually high, these will cause bruising and pain. A real shame, as the aesthetic is exactly what I was looking for.

For the foot: I’m a shoe size 8, and in boots usually an 8.5. I like to have a little room in case I wear socks or thick tights. 8.5 wasn’t available so I went with 8 and boy, I could have gone down to 7.5 because they run huge! I had at LEAST and inch and half of toe space. Not what I was expecting from reviews which said to go with your regular size and not to size up. For the calf: Now, I know these are supposed to be "slim fit" but wasn’t expecting them to be this tight. I am tall with fairly slim calves - not skinny, but apparently slim enough that all other boots I’ve tried in recent years had the problem of flopping around my legs like pirate boots. So I figured either today’s boots are poorly made or I’ve got thin calves! So I read the reviews on this boot and thought maybe this was my answer. Lo and behold , they were the opposite extreme. They were so tight I could barely zip them up, and the next day I had rashes on both calves, just from trying them on! In conclusion: this is an attractive, well-made boot which I’m sure is perfect for anyone with extra narrow calves, and I am very disappointed they don’t fit. I will be returning these. The search for the perfect boot continues!
