These are beautiful dainty stud earrings. Sadly they don't sparkle. Even when I'm outside there's no brightness to them. The Amethyst color is really pretty close up, but if you are wanting people to compliment your earrings, i'd choose a brighter more opaque color instead. Also, the backs for these are huge plastic orbs that will dig into your neck if you lay down. I wear my hair down 90% of the time, and these earrings really didn't catch any attention. Even just looking at myself in the mirror while doing makeup, you can't really notice that I have these on, so I would only truly recommend these only if you have your hair up. ... show more

The backs to the earrings are the large clear plastic rings and they dig into my lobes. The pink glittery stone loses ALL appeal when worn. There is nothing pretty about these earrings.
