The protector seems to be of solid quality and I've used kenimotor products in the past and have been happy with their durability and build quality, particularly with their fender elimination kits. The projector is a standard large size with some limited adjustability at the waste and on the arm attachments but nothing adjustable at the shoulder area. Nonetheless, the vest fits me fine and it plenty comfortable with some room for adjusting depending on the base layer I have on. It breathes well and is a solid alternative during the summer months. Protection-wise it is difficult to tell how it will perform. I can tell you it will be a million times better than nothing being worn and it absolutely protects your back and chest. I feel like under impact, the shoulder/elbow areas might not hold up because they are just held by adjustable velcro and they don't sit too firmly in place to begin with, but they absolutely would protect from abrasion. Without certification, I'm not positive on the material used, it seems slightly less quality than my Alpinestars and Icon Stryker vests but at about 80% of their cost. I think it'd be worthwhile if there were proper certs in place as, without them, confidence is hindered somewhat. It is lightweight, looks good, seems durable and absolutely is better than wearing nothing at all. I do feel it may be overpriced considering the lack of certification and or class of protective materials being used. But it is comfortable and would recommend if you're looking for something lower on cost and just some minimal protection. ... show more

Living in the desert it's cold in the winter but the summers get warm as one would expect. The challenge then is to convince yourself to wear "All The Gear All The Time" or ATGATT. I'm hopeful this chest armor will add an option to my loadout and allow me to be more comfortable in a long sleeve shirt and some armor that is well ventilated but providing protection in the right places. I'm also a big guy and was able to get things dialed in and comfortable. The rear back plate and lower sides wrap around nicely and the shoulders had to be taken in a notch and the armor fit right into position. There appears to be sufficient ventilation and the padding materials give impact protection. The outer plastics will likely abrade when dropped on pavement at speed and that's the only unknown...how far will they skid? The only real concern is the lack of any testing agency rating on the efficacy of the device. Does it work? Has it been tested? Who knows? I'll try it and know that it's likely better than nothing when combined with a helmet, good boots, knee and hip pads and well made gloves. Will know for sure this summer. ... show more
