  • Works great between pavers
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
I wish I had this tool in my many past weeding days. It works great between pavers!

  • I Like a Nice Clean Crack!
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
As a homeowner, there are 2 things I can't stand. One is an unkempt bush. Second would be a concrete walkway with dirty, weed-filled cracks. Take pride in your house and yard. Keep things neat and tidy. This tool makes short order of the 2nd one. You can really get in there and clean out all the debris with this tool. Just hack away at it with ease. The comfortable handle grip makes it easy to hold and the sharp edge on the weeder cuts through weeds like a hot knife through a block of room temperature Philadelphia Cream Cheese. If there was one minor complaint, I would say there is no safety cover for the blade. I keep mine safely stored on a pegboard in the garage, but if you're just throwing this thing in a tool drawer, watch your fingers. ... show more

  • Serious Weeding Tool
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
The previous owner of my house put in a cobblestone driveway and walkways which, while adding to the curb appeal, also add thousands of places for weeds of all kinds to find root; that problem was the reason I purchased this tool. First, the "crack weeder" is a solid and serious tool; it's solid/hefty in your hand, and you know instantly that you're holding something that's going to last. The blades are made of thick stainless steel; those on the outside come to a nice sharp point so that it fits into the smallest of crevices; the internal blade also comes to a sharp point and has serrated blades to root out and cut through whatever is in your way. Welds to the handle are thick and sturdy; the handle is also "full tang" so the one solid steel extension ensures you have a firm and lasting connection to the blade. Coating on the grip is comfortable but a little firm; this should mean that it holds up longer than padded grips that be a little more comfortable but that would peel away with time. Overall this is an excellent tool for getting at things growing/stuck in small crevices. Weeds beware! ... show more

  • Nice Tool to Help Keep Weeds at Bay
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
I ordered the Crack Weeder Tool to help keep weeds at bay in the various cracks in the concrete. I don't use pesticides in the yard, so I look for alternate solutions. Due to a good deal of rain, the weeds are in full force. This does a great job on most of the weeds I tried. The only thing it couldn't seem to clear out was a clump of crab grass that keeps coming up in the crack of one of the concrete planters, and I scraped at it for a bit. The big thing with something like this is it needs to be done often, and it makes it easier when the weeds are small and first coming up. Having said that, this did a good job when it got hung up on some large weeds. It held up and the handle didn't slip. Another crack weeder that I had from a different company got hung up on a weed and the handle completely separated from the blade, so not good. This one feels much more sturdy. ... show more

  • Here comes the weeds
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
We've had three good rains so far this winter along the Central CA coast, and already the property is sprouting weeds in every bare spot. This begins the weed pulling season in the lawn, around the fruit trees, and walking path areas (less concerned about the unused hillside) ... The handle on my prior weed puller had fallen off a few years back, and since then I've been using an old steak knife to assist with the removal of long rooted weeds. I got excited when I came across this weed remover product. It feels great in your hand (beating the steak knife should be easy), and it comes sharp and ready for use. The outside edges have been honed to be super sharp, and the inside edge at the top is serrated. It does a good job hacking the weeds, and it feels like this might perhaps be different year, and I'll get more done, and faster. I'll revisit this posting after more use, but so far, it is what I needed. ... show more

  • Time saver!
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
I have been looking for a tool like this locally for some time now. I have a small gap between my blacktop driveway and the concrete floor of my garage. Of course this provides just enough space for weeds to creep in. Hand pulling still leaves a lot of the roots and digging with a trowel or shovel is time consuming and still has mixed results. When I received this I eagerly unwrapped it (there is a ton of plastic wrap on it to keep everyone safe during shipping since it's sharp and serrated. In less then 30 seconds the job was done and all the weeds were uprooted and the gap was completely free and clear of dirt and debris. Impressed doesn't do what I felt justice. It appears to be really well made and would be a much more costly item at a big home improvement store. I have many other spots to use this come Spring. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Gets the dead stuff out between the cracks without any hassle!
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
I get grass and weeds at my sidewalk and driveway every year, and every year, I go out and pour hot water on them to kill them. The next day, I have to spend some time pulling them up, but it's not that bad. I got this in late December, but I went out to check and see how it fit the cracks. It was the perfect size to get in there, and I even dredged up some old, dead grass and weeds from last season, and I barely had to lean over to do it. I can already tell that with the sharp edge, and thin, but sturdy blade, I'll be able to be able to get the weeds out of the cracks next summer no problem. I should have bought this years ago! ... show more

  • Love at first use.
Style: Crack Weeder Tool
Where has this thing been all my life?! If, as a homeowner, you've ever bloodied your knuckles trying to pull assorted grass and weeds from expansion cracks, you get it. I was so excited when this arrived that I ripped it out of the packaging and ran outside barefoot in shorts and a t-shirt on a 40 degree winter day to try it out. It works. In fact, it works so quickly and so well that it's addictive. What always has been a long (and painful) job is now completely effortless. Yes, there are other tools for the purpose, but this one is really well designed. I'm so thrilled with it that I may buy a second so that I have a spare if this one wears out or goes missing. ... show more
