I really like these boots. They are not for the hardcore trails. The sole is not for rocky terrain, It's too flexible. They are great for light hikes, dog walks or just kicking it around all day. Support around the ankle and foot are a good balance for all day comfort. I really like the longer toe box rather than the typical Keen short and wide square toe box. I don't have any forward foot slide in the boot, so no toe jams. The laces are thin as stated in a review, but they help to lockup the lacing, so you don't need 3 hands to firm up the fit. These Keens are of lesser quality than all my other Keen shoes, boots. I am disappointed.the area around the ankle and closure does not lace well and when walking it does not give support. They are ok for a short trail walk. They are a tight fit, I have a narrow foot and these fit tight! They are not easy to get the foot into this low boot. The Keen quality is missing. ... show more

Comfortable and waterproof! I've tested these hiking boots 3 times so far. All were in the rain. These are great hiking boots, especially in wet weather!

I wore the original Keen Terradora out and have been searching for a replacement. These are Terradora in name only. They are so cheaply made; from the thin, flimsy leather, to the delicate, ribbon-like laces. The fit is not similar to the original, which fit like a glove, out of the box. These are uncomfortable! The footbed is a flimsy piece of foam with no structure or arch support. In the photo, the original is at the top with its excellent footbed, the "new" Terradora is below. I need my hikers to work as hard as I do. These boots seem to be only for show, not for function. ... show more

Nice-looking and light-weight but if you are used to the Targhees with wider toe box and arch supports, these aren't them...I wore them on two moderate hikes straight out of the box and they were fine but like I said, not comparable with Targhees. As for being waterproof, I am not sure and was unable to test. It poured hard on the firts hike and i got soaking wet, even my gortex jacket didn't hold up, so neither did the boots but again that was quite a storm. Will I keep them? Yes, although I would have returned if bought at say REI knowing they would be sold as used rather than wasted. Will I buy a more comfortable pair for strenuous longer hikes? These boots are super comfortable . I have foot "issues" and I tried a lot of hiking boots. These were the only ones that worked.
