It's breathable and supportive, and the all-terrain outsole adds stability. 15.87 oz / 499.9 g (per shoe), made with durable, water-resistant mesh and featuring a breathable lining, the Targhee Vent Mid Height Water-Resistant Hiking Boot is built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent, P.E.T. recycled plastic bottles (in applicable styles) and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. KEEN makes shoes to make a difference.

I wear size 8 1/2 or 9 in footwear- normally 9 in a hiking boot to allow enough toe room. I ordered 8 1/2 due to reviews read- these shoes fit like size 9 in 2 pairs of Merrells I have. Maybe even a little bigger, lots of toe room. I have problem feet and when I tried these on after a long day on my feet they felt wonderful! So great for hiking

I love keen for hiking! This was my first pair of high top ones and love them! Kept my ankles warmer, fit just right and could walk through some water and my feet were not wet!

Keen sense of greatness

Broke them in on a truly muddy and long hike, my feet stayed dry and clean the entire time. The color isn’t like pictured, a little more like a moss color and tan. I don’t need a wide toe so I have extra room at the end but I imagine anyone who is seeking a wider toe would be happy with these. Other than all that, they are very comfy and seem to be durable! BEST boots ever for high volume, wide feet!
These boots are incredibly comfortable. They run wide, but they also run tall across the instep (high volume). A lot of shoes & boots press on the top of my foot and make it hurt, but not these. I've found that they have enough room that I can put my orthotic in them on top of the insole that comes with them. This makes them extra cushy, like a running shoe. If you have narrow feet or low volume (height) feet, then these are not the boots for your. ... show more

Already worn through the inner heal lining. Sad.

I am starting this post by saying that I normally LOVE Keen shoes and boots. I have been buying them for years and they always hold up well, are super comfortable, high quality, and cute. But these have not lived up to that standard at all. They are not nearly as comfortable as the previous pair I bought them to replace, and I have probably hiked less than 100 miles in them and already the inner lining in the heal has blown out. Provides great ankle support
The provide great comfortable support, especially if you have had a serious ankle injury in the past. If you had damaged you Achilles in the past, these boots will give you that support and balance. They run wide and are comfortable if you have other foot issues. They are also great for walking on a slippery floor.
