Despite being VERY unhappy with a recent purchase of Keen Targhee hikers, I took a shot on these in the hopes they hadn't done with their other footwear. Background: Keen Targhee mid hiking boots were my favorite footwear on the planet. When one pair started to fade, I could go on line and just buy another pair, knowing they would fit and last a long while. Then Keen got the clever idea to start cheaping out on their materials. Worse.... They. Changed. The. Sizing. Why, oh why, would you do that when your customers depend on and expect true sizing. I needed to replace my Targhee's. Bought a pair. And was immediately horrified that all the reviews I had foolishly hoped were wrong, were true. Keen had, indeed, changed their materials and their shoes were falling apart within 6 months, the sizing was so off as to be ridiculous. I received a pair of hikers that felt like they were made of kids toy plastic, and fit about as well as kids toy plastic. I wear a 9 mens. The new sizing was more like a mens 10 or 11. I mean, not. even. close. And the width was insane. Back they went. I changed brands. However, a friend has a pair of Keen water sandals and they looked decent. I decided to try them and see if maybe they had left the sandals alone. Nope. Same horrific sizing. I will say that the materials did not seem quite as poor as the latest versions of their hikers. So I will give them that. But given the ridiculous fit, back they went. I really wanted to like these shoes, but between these and the hikers, I'm done with Keen. It's a shame because they USED to make fabulous footwear. Check out the reviews of Keen footwear on several sites before you buy. Look at the bad reviews. They are, unfortunately, true. And DON'T buy directly from Keen. There are numerous reports of them not honoring their warranty, not providing refunds, etc. Believe the reviews. I gave two stars because if you can guess your size, the materials on these, and particularly the soles, were not as bad as I was expecting, and actually seemed pretty good. Not $129 worth of good, but better than I expected. I'd advise skipping these until/unless Keen gets their act together down the road. For the record, I switched to Oboz hikers. HIGHLY recommend.

I bought one pair and loved them. I bought a second pair, that’s how much I liked them. Comfortable, I have been wearing them every day over tennis shoes since I bought them. A good buy !

I normally wear anything from a 9 to a 10.5 depending on the shoe company I buy from. I find Keen to run small, or maybe more true to size. I got these in a 9 and they fit a little tight, but the arch is in the right place so I'm quite happy with these. The Keen SOLR sandals do not slip! I've worn these on wood, wet pavement, wet and dry laminate, and they are super grippy. The shoes are heavy and they look good. Like any Keen shoe, they build these to take a beating and then still last for years to come. The only negative is that the rubber sole makes my feet boiling. Also, if you're a socks and sandals guy (no judgement) you can easily get away with wearing no show socks because the slits in the Keen's are small. I wore these with a pair of blue no-shows and they didn't look terrible. However, these being sandals I expect I'll be wearing them without socks. Overall, these run true to size, are built to last, and the only negative is that they make my feet hot.

I have to admit this is my very first time trying out the KEEN Brand and so far so good! I ordered size 9 and at first glance out of the box they looked kind of small for a size 9 but upon close inspection and wearing them, they are truly sized 9. May be they do not have pointed toes like my other shoes so they may appear somewhat smaller but rest assured they are true to size. But if you prefer a little more room between your toes and the toe bumpers then you may want to order a 1/2 size larger. For me, it's ok either way. As for the stitching and material, they seem to be very well made and rugged where needed. The rubber on the bottom of these sandals are very hard, almost like they are made out of wood but not quite. Thanks to the 0.5 inch soft insole, my heels and feet are very comfortable wearing them. The webbing on top are made of recycled bottles so if you are environmentally conscious, then these sandals should ease your concerns. The laces are adjustable and I did not have to mess with them, they fit just fine the way they are. I have worn a lot of heavier sandals before and they put a number on my feet but with these I did not have that problem or the feeling of tiredness wearing them for a long period of time. I like the close toe bumper on these not just for looks but also to protect my toes as well (also, I do not think people want to see my toes... LOL). Overall, they look very slick and comfortable to wear with great traction. These are great for a day at the park, trail or on the river or stream. I am sold on KEEN!

These are excellent Keen shoes, as usual. The construction and materials used are very good and these shoes should last a long time. The toes aren't open as in regular men's sandals but otherwise they are very similar to sandals. I received a men's size 9 for review and I was surprised that they were a little shorter than some other size 9 Keens shoes I have that are very similar to these except they aren't sandal types. They are still long enough and hubs likes them fine, but I can wear them and I normally wear a ladies size 11 shoe.
