I finally bucked up and got one of these. My pointer is 10 years old and eats like he's never eaten before. He will eat so fast he will throw up his food minutes later and it would still be solid. Now that he has to work for his food, he has not gotten sick once. He has an elevated food bowl and it fit perfectly. The sizing is true to size, I didn't have to cut anything down. I give my dogs bone broth, so it does kind of slide around a bit in the bowl, but it does not bother me or him at all. I really like the product, the idea of it at least, but my miniature Aussie who’s addicted to gobbling up her food is able to scarf it down pretty fast still. It did help slow her down, but not slow enough. Also she would sometimes be able to get the slow feeder part out of her bowl completely to reach food that got caught underneath. Not sure if she’s just really good at navigating these things cause she’s a pretty determined girl when it comes to food. Other than that, it’s sturdy, just needs to be cleaned often otherwise suction isn’t as good ... show more

This worked perfectly for my chow hound Lab! Slows her down while eating but doesn't cause her to gasp trying to vacuum up the food. Yet it's easy enough to get the food that she doesn't get frustrated and just knock it over and spill everything. I have a regular sized stainless steel bowl and this covers the bottom and the spirals curl slightly around the sides. So far no issue with food getting trapped under or around the device. The soft silicone is easy on her teeth and gums, but doesn't seem flimsy or like it will fall apart quickly. Great product! ... show more

these things are the best! I used slow feeder bowls forever but they would always cut and irritate my dogs mouths and the surrounding skin. this is my second one of these and it’s amazing. the suction is great and it really slows him down and keeps him engaged for a while!

I love that this slow feeder suctions to the bowls you already have bc then you don’t have to buy a brand new slow feeding bowl. But the one thing I’ll say is a bit of a downfall is my dog thinks it’s a toy. So after she’s done eating, she carry’s her bowl through the living room playing with it. Whenever I try to put her bowl back, she will continue to go grab it and play with her bowl like a toy. And when I try to keep it up on the counter away from her, she tries to jump up to get it off the counter. So I like it and works good for slow feeding but if your dog likes rubber toys then this may not work the best. ... show more

When unencumbered, my dog can scarf down her kibble in a matter of seconds. This at least makes a meal last a few minutes. (I rely on other contraptions to extend her meals past 10 minutes, but those require more effort to set up than this.) It’s soft so it’s easy on the nose and fits perfectly into a 7.5” diameter bowl. I also like that the base is made up of several suction cups so it stays in one place, but is easy to remove. I had a different kind of bowl insert whose foundation was just one big sucker, and it slid around a lot and was sometimes difficult to unstick from the bowl. ... show more

Suctions to the bottom to prevent it being pulled out and very easy to clean. -1 star because the ridges in the middle (not the snippable sections) are a little high for our English Bulldog. I just pull it out once he can't reach the pieces at the bottom and rinse. Otherwise does the job to prevent an upset tummy! ... show more

This slow feeder is awesome at preventing my furry friend from being able to gobble up all his kibble in 2 seconds… now it takes him like 30 seconds. 🤣 He seems to enjoy the maze design, because it’s like a little game with a reward at the end! I’m not entirely satisfied with the suction, though. I feel like as my dog salivates while he’s eating (I have a lab 🤣) that his saliva is so slippery, the suction doesn’t hold well.
