We love these because they're not only very absorbent (and adorable!), but they're super soft and breathable. We (parents and baby) greatly prefer the muslin to the cotton-filled ones. We laid it down in her crib/bassinet as a pillow/liner since she'd occasionally spit up in her sleep and this would help absorb so she's not laying in it and protect the sheets. By 3-4 months she got so used to having it in her crib, she'd pull it off our shoulder as we put her down for naps and would rub in on her face to go to sleep (only ok with this because they're so breathable, even when folded or bunched). She's now 10 months old and we got another set for extra to have in the diaper bag and in the car. These soothe her for diaper changes (now plays peekaboo with them), long car rides, and fussy before nap times. If she's fussy and we realize she doesn't have one, we find one to give her and it's immediately thumb in the mouth relaxing time. I was also SUPER happy to see they changed their tag from green to natural linen -since we always had these around the green tag was kind of distracting if it was visible in her newborn pictures. ... show more

When you start getting supplies for your baby, you can buy endless types of burp cloths. These are our absolute favorites! They are thin enough to be a soft fabric, but also absorbent. The quality is excellent even after many, many washes. The colors also stay and do not fade. They’re absorbent and soft, and have held up well in the wash. Bonus is that they’re super cute too. I got this pack of the muslin ones and a pack of the urban burp cloths from this brand. I much prefer these muslin ones. The other ones are okay, but these are softer, and held their shape after being dried. I originally received a box of these burp clothes as a gift before I had my baby (bottom cloth, green tag). I really liked how absorbent they are so I ordered a few more boxes so I didn't have to do laundry ad frequently. The new cloths came but they're significantly different than the ones I already had (top cloth, white tag). The old cloths are more quilted and the new cloths aren't, and have a smoother, silkier texture. The new cloths are also larger (which isn't a bad thing necessarily. Wondering if they changed the product within the last few months or if I received knockoffs. :/ it's too much to return them though so oh well. Update - after using these for a few weeks, I like them better than I did initially. The quilted look seems to develop after they've been washed a few times.
