Features
- Pink at First Glance: She arrives in rose-pink from body to tail, with a bold red head, a yellow beak, and dark green legs. Her palette is named for Kay Bojesen's Swedish daughter-in-law, who took the family by storm and made pink feel like the only possible choice.
- Her Craft Speaks Volumes: She is carved from FSC-certified beechwood, her color applied by hand in layers that hold their depth at any viewing distance. The care of her making is what keeps her interesting on the third look and the thirtieth.
- Presence Without Apology: She stands 6.1 inches tall, 6.3 inches wide, and 3.1 inches deep, a size that anchors a shelf or desk and holds the room's attention. She prefers a wipe with a damp cloth for cleaning and a position away from prolonged direct sunlight.
- Boxed And Ready Always: Ruth comes packaged in a Kay Bojesen branded gift box, ready to give at any milestone. She suits a christening, a school leaving celebration, a wedding, or any birthday that deserves something worth keeping past the day.
- An Idea Long Kept: Ruth's colorway was one of five original songbird designs sketched by Kay Bojesen in the 1950s. None of those five entered production during his lifetime, and it took decades before the Birds series gave them their debut. She arrived late, but she arrived complete.
