These are a bit thin, and I have my doubts about them holding up a long while, BUT I gave them five stars because with an insert they are comfortable, albeit just a bit snug, and they are the perfect height, both the heel and the shaft. They seem to be stretching out as I wear them, and I have worn them a LOT since they arrived earlier this week. If they do hold up, they might become my favorite boots ever. Note: If you have large calves, get the "wide calf" version - as these are NOT wide calf. They fit my skinny legs just fine, but I see a lot of comments about needing wide calves. UPDATE; February 2024 2nd purchase. I loved these boots so much I bought a second pair. When they got here they weren’t the same pair!!! A bit higher and the zipper is ONLY at the ankle! I came back in Amazon, looked at my purchase and it shows the inside zipper all the way up on the inside. A mid calf Black suede boot. I’m going to keep them. Their different. Not as soft a suede, so I hope they’ll stay as nice as the ones I wanted. But I would normally send them back. So beware you MIGHT get the wrong pair. I absolutely love the mid calf (a bit taller on me at 5’ almost 2” Foyr stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on this second pair I hop my full zipper ones last forever 🙏🏼 Gr8tGma I absolutely love these boots! They’re roomy on the calves. I don’t mind them being loose! I want them to be. They’re supposed to be slouch boots. They don’t fall down, but feel like air can get in. Not as described. It says shaft circumference is 12.5. I have skinny calves so I was excited to find a boot that would not be too bog around my calf. This boot is 15 inches.

Like the boot, has a great cushion in them. The buckle and the rivets are not silver as shown, they are a darker color and do not stand out like in the picture
