If in the market for a Kate Spade tote bag, this one seems a good choice. It's basic black and a classic style, so it's unlikely to go out of fashion any time soon, if ever. It's large enough to hold a lot. And the straps are a versatile length -- can be held or will fit over the shoulder. Also, the leather appears to be reasonably good quality. A reviewer mentioned authenticity. Having spent a lot of time shopping in China, I'm familiar with "knock offs," which this bag does not appear to be. I'd vote that it's genuine Kate Spade. My reasons for deducting a star: Granted, some designer bags sell for thousands, but even at this considerable price, I'd like to see something better than just a gold-stamped "Kate Spade" logo. At least embossing or debossing, if not a gold-colored metal something. A more generous interior pocket would be useful. Although this pocket runs from one handle to the other in width, the zipper isn't quite as wide, and the flat pocket doesn't accommodate a lot that might need security in the otherwise open bag. The handles are adjustable by about an inch longer or shorter, by sort of unbuttoning and rebuttoning on the next peg. That's a curious design choice, going to all that effort for so little adjustment. Personally, I'd prefer the work (and price) went into a better interior pocket, higher-quality logo presentation, or even a removable, washable lining. As it is, the unfinished, slightly rough, light tan leather inside looks too easy for me to permanently stain, necessitating my adding a waterproof container for pens, makeup, food, etc., within the unprotected bag. I do like the bag's size. It will hold my laptop or an i-pad and much more. The packaging was protective, the silky-feeling, fabric storage bag is a nice extra. And, again, this is a classic tote with a fairly large expanse of genuine leather, so in this price range, I think this bag is definitely worth considering.

What a beautiful and versatile tote! It is great to carry a laptop or tablet, a couple of notebooks and even a water bottle. Super roomy, convenient and with a flat bottom that will help the tote stand straight, this tote will soon become your favorite. I really like the finishing touches - that's when you can see the quality of a product; details are refined. I like that the shoulder straps can be adjusted, so if you want a bit more or less room in that strap, you can determine what is more comfortable for you. It has a couple of zippered inside pockets that will keep things safe and not going anywhere. The tote has like one big compartment, so If you like carrying a lot of smaller items, you may want to consider a pocket organizer or having a case or two so that you don't lose stuff in it. Definitely a tote that will dress up any outfit, perfect for business!
