I absolutely adore these shelves. I got this length and two of the longer ones as well. I understand the other reviewers being a bit down on the quality, though. The attachments aren’t completely flush or tight out of the package. I had to actually tighten the screws myself before instal so the pieces wouldn’t separate. I wouldn’t put anything too heavy on here, but they do sit pretty flush to the wall. The gold leaf will absolutely flake if you don’t care for the shelves or you drop them, so don’t do that. Otherwise, they are gorgeous, perform well after tightening, and seem like they will hold up as long as I don’t put anything too heavy on them. I used my own mounting hardware and drywall crews to mount them and I’m so happy with how they turned out! ... show more

Cheaply made with paper/wood dust, 3 pieces of it glued together. Both shelves arrived damaged, and I needed to do lots work to repair it. Only reason I did not return because of its size and no time to wait for the next replacement.

Unfortunately these shelves are not a very nice finish as you can zoom in on the pictures and see. I was willing to put up with that as I really needed these shelves to complete my look, but when I went to hang them up with command strips the bottom half of the shelf is very loose and doesn't hold much weight. They would only work for me if I repainted them and reinforced the bottoms. For $30 I'm going to find new ones that I won't have to do so much work on. ... show more
