Really good braided line!!! I like the quality of this braid, it casts very nicely on both spinning and bait casting equipment. I've been using it in 6 Lbs test up to 40 Lbs test. I use the Camo color. We long line troll with jigs and small crankbaits for Crappie and White Bass with the 6 Lbs and 8 Lbs test on Kastking 500 and 1000 spinning reels, it works extremely well. This line also casts smoothly from spinning reels without nearly as much line twist or wind knots as with monofilament. My adolescent grandsons cast this line much more successfully than monofilament. We use the 40 Lbs on my large round Catfish reels for drifting Santee-Cooper rigs for Blue Catfish. This is a good braided at a good price point. ... show more

I recently picked up the KastKing Destron braided fishing line and I’m impressed so far. The line feels very smooth and strong right out of the box. It spools up nicely without tangling, and it casts farther than I expected. The thin diameter really helps with sensitivity too—I can feel every little tap and bite through the rod. I’ve tested it on a couple trips already and it holds knots tight without slipping, plus it cuts through the water really well. No issues with fraying or breaking under pressure either. For the price, this line definitely competes with some of the more expensive braids I’ve used in the past. If you’re looking for a dependable, tough braided line that won’t break the bank, I’d recommend giving this one a try. ... show more

This line is super strong and super small. The 50lb test is only .014 in diameter I threaded it through a needle to sew eye loops at the end of my prusik cord I use for climbing trees and it worked great saved myself some money too. Great line.

    • Kastking braided line Fail!

Updated review: Used it for the first time, first cast with a Texas rig, only a 1/16th oz. Weight and a worm. About 30 feet went out and the line snapped off. I’m like ok I must have done something wrong, so I retied and cast again and the same thing happened “Snap” ok that’s it. Funny thing is I was able to hook both lines with another pole and get my rigs back. This line is garbage! I was using a brand new bait casting reel and I know it wasn’t the reel problem. The setup was light enough where it should have stopped the lure and not broke the line. Two times in a row? I had two rods with this line and I set them aside. Yes I was disappointed and mad because I expected better especially braid line, I will be stripping this line off both reels. Sorry Kastking but this outing was a FAIL! Update: I couldn’t return the line through Amazon because I didn’t try it before the 30 day return limit so I contacted Kastking myself. They had no problem taking care of the situation.
