Features

  • 420 Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel The KastKing Cutthroat fishing pliers are made from corrosion resistant 420 stainless steel and coated with a tough Polymer coating for added protection. Our stainless steel fishing pliers are 46% harder than aluminum pliers and nearly 3 times the bending strength of aluminum pliers. Designed for long term performance, these fishing pliers are ideal for both freshwater and harsh saltwater environments.
  • Tungsten Carbide Cutters Super hard tungsten carbide cutters slice though mono, fluorocarbon, or braid with ease. Side mounted anvil cutters for easy access, these cutters allow you to cut your tag end as close to the knot as you desire without any obstructions and the raised surface behind the blade ensures your line will always be in the cutting zone.
  • Multi-Function Jaws Grab and remove any fish hook with the serrated jaws or take advantage of the crimping slots to secure a split shot weight or build a steel leader. To cinch down a knot quickly and safely, insert your hook into one of the holes in the jaws and pull on your hook to create a tight knot. Available in both a straight nose and a Split ring nose design.
  • Rubber Handle The ergonomic textured rubber handle provides comfort and control. A thin grip profile and the spring loaded jaws allow for easy one hand use without worrying about the pliers slipping out of your hands.
  • Sheath/Lanyard Included Includes a custom molded sheath with belt clip to ensure your investment is protected from normal wear and tear. Clip on to your belt or the waistband of your shorts, to make sure you have quick access when a fish is on the line and the coiled lanyard will ensure your pliers dont fall overboard!

  • Well Made
Color: Green Size: 7" Straight Nose
Well made. I used these for the first time this morning and they work great.

  • Cutthroat Pliers are a high quality fishing plier
Color: Orange Size: 7" Straight Nose
The Cutthroat Straight Pliers are well make and thought went into their design. They are lightweight and have a nice grippy handle. The needle nose plier end works great for removing small hooks in Kokanee and trout. I really like the line cutter that stands alone on the pliers. It is very easy to cut leaders and excess line on knots and loops. I like the hole in the jaw where you can run a hook through and use the pliers to cinch down on a knot you tied onto the hook to make a leader. The plier storage case clips onto your belt and the pliers have a safety cord you can clip onto a belt loop. The only thing I did not like on the belt plier case was that it rotated on the belt loop attachment and when you went to put the pliers back into the case after use it may have spun sideways or upside down and you would have to rotate the case right side up to get the pliers back into it. I would certainly buy the pliers again. ... show more

  • Great choice
Color: Green Size: 7" Straight Nose
These pliers are awesome. They are sturdy and reliable when I’m fishing from my kayak. I never had to worry about loosing them.

  • Mind the Case
The polymer style of case that comes with the red pliers does not rotate. Pay attention to that if you want to carry your pliers sideways- you can’t do it with the plastic sheath. Otherwise these pliers are kind of what you expect for the price. Not bad, not amazing, but okay value.

  • THESE PLIERS KICK ASS!
Goodbye Rapala clippers! Hello KastKing! These pliers are awesome for anybody new or experienced in fishing. They make everything from removing hooks to cutting line a breeze. I do at least 75% of my fishing out of a kayak, so space is at a premium. The holster is a nice touch, and the clip rotates with preset locking points so it’s easy to clip onto a bag, belt, pocket, etc. I clipped my carabiner right to the eyelet in the holster so they can’t wander away also. THEY CUT BRAIDED LINE! Finally, I can throw my cheap Rapala toe-nail clippers in the junk drawer. I’m typically using 30-50 lb braid with a fleuro leader, and it’s been a nightmare trying to find something that cleanly cuts the braided line. They feel well-made and very sturdy in the hand. I seriously doubt that I’ll be needing any replacements or repairs, but if they do, KastKing has an awesome warranty on all of their products. I will definitely buy from them again! ... show more

  • Pliers that just flat out do their job and fit back into their holder easy.
Color: Orange Size: 7" Straight Nose
Beginner Kayak fisherman always ask what should I buy first for my new kayaking adventures. 1. Buy a really good and comfortable life jacket. One you will wear for those 14 hour days on the water. Winter fishing they keep you warmer and help insulate but in the summer not so much but will give you a fighting chance if something bad happens. Buy a good one. 2. A good paddle and a backup "skulling paddle". Either make one or buy one off here. Basically a hand paddle to keep with you because you will at some point knock off you paddle that you forgot to leash. you can paddle a kayak with a hand paddle. 3. Buy you a decent fishing rod and reel. Don't have to be the most expensive because a decent reel will still land a fish. A decent rod will still land a fish. An ultra cheap rod and reel might land a decent fish but also may cost you the fish of a lifetime. I don't buy top of line stuff anymore because I have lost more rods and reels in the lakes and rivers than I care to admit. But I still buy good quality that I know will help me catch fish not hurt me. 4. A good set of pliers and a knife. You can remove an embedded hook, cut line, remove hook from fish, make a peanut butter sandwich , cut bait or most of all cut anything in case of an emergency if you get in a sketchy situation. 5. Buy a good kayak. Don't go to a big box store to buy a kayak. If you like kayaking you will want to upgrade the next season anyway so spend a few hundred more and one from a shop that will let you demo it first. A box store kayak won't be worth much when you sell but a good quality kayak will hold it's value. ... show more

  • Quality Pliers
Color: Orange Size: 7" Straight Nose
These are a great pair of pliers. They feel great in the hand and sturdy enough for what I fish for (bass, trout). Since these are stainless steel vs aluminum, I can really bear down on them and not feel that I will break them. Even being stainless steel they are very lightweight. I like the molded sheath with the rotating belt “clip”. I hate removing my belt when I forget to thread my case on. I haven’t had to use it yet, but I really like the KastKing “Beyond Warranty Support” policy included with the pliers. It almost sounds like the warranty that comes with a Dillion reloading press. If you need parts they will send it to you for free. I haven’t requested anything, but that’s what it sounds like. I really like these pliers so far. I would not hesitate to purchase more KastKing products. ... show more
