This is a well-made, 100% cotton shirt for work or more formal occasions. It can be worn casually, but the fabric quality, texture, and weight give it a more formal feel. The fabric is soft on the skin, but not stretchy. Cotton dress shirts greatly vary in quality - some are so stiff, they make you sweat before you even leave the house. Not this one - this one feels like your skin can actually breathe in it. We are less concerned with brand names in our family (expensive brands does not always mean quality unfortunately and for us quality and comfort are of much greater value than a tag), but if that matters to you, you're likely to be pleased with the Karl Lagerfeld logo. This isn't a slim-fit shirt (which is a huge plus for us), but it's definitely not baggy either. I would not recommend throwing it in with your regular laundry. If you do, at least consider air-drying it. Better yet, I'd have it professionally cleaned to make it last longer. Overall it’s a nice shirt and I really like how it fits my husband.

Hard to argue with the overall quality of this shirt, especially at this price point. Upon opening the package, I could tell right away that the stitching is better than average, and the buttons are rather unique. The material is not super-soft but is comfortable. I got this primarily to wear under a suit, so it will serve its purpose well. Here are some other things worth noting: 1. This shirt is 100% cotton! I love that, and that's not easy to find these days under $40-$50. Also the shirt does not appear to be treated with any formaldehyde or other "non-wrinkle" chemicals, which leads me to.... 2. I hand washed the shirt and hung it wet, and there were no noticeable wrinkles when it dried overnight. It may wrinkle a bit if I wear it all day, but that hasn't happened yet. 3. Also, the shirt did not bleed a lot of black ink when I washed it - there was some but not a lot. Therefore if you wash it with other items, I'd recommend only with dark colors and using cold water. 4. I am a 15.5" Neck, 32" Sleeve - the fit is good, but because the shirt is not slim fit or tapered, it is a bit boxy. I do prefer slim fit shirts these days. Also, the sleeves were a bit long on me - which is usually the case but these are longer than other 32-33" sleeves I have owned. I will have to fold the cuffs back, which is typical for me anyway so not a big deal. SUMMARY: A nice shirt of good quality at an affordable price. I do wish this shirt was slim fit and came in other colors besides black. But black looks good with jeans and it is good to have a black shirt for certain types of events. Anyway, this is my first Karl Lagerfeld product and I'm sure it won't be my last.

In a good shirt, I normally wear a 16/16.5 collar and 33/34 sleeve. Even though this is listed as “regular fit”, I was skeptical of “European styling and what “regular fit” might mean. I ordered this one size larger than I usually wear (17/17.5 collar and 34/35 sleeve). The collar size is good, I would judge it to be more of a 16.5 to 17 inch than 17.5 but it feels good – not too loose. The sleeves are just a bit shorter than I would like but they are acceptable, they seem to be closer to 33 inches than 34/35. I would have been happier with even longer sleeve length as I like to show a good bit of cuff when wearing a suit coat. Part of the issue is that the arm holes hit me a bit low so when I slip on a jacket the sleeves ride up just a bit. The body fits trimly – I am accustomed to more room here but this fits and does not pull at the button holes ( yes, I know I have a bit of extra belly there, but this does just fit appropriately but definitely more trimly that most American designers. The shirt is made of 100% cotton so cold water washing to prevent shrinkage is necessary. The twill is pronounced and adds a great look to the shirt. The cotton seems to be of high quality as it has that subtle satiny sheen to the fibers and it has a unique full length sewn placket in the back. ( that does limit some of the room at the girth however). Good Value, Great appearance.

Beautiful shirt! I love the material and how thick the cuffs feel. Definitely a great shirt for a night out downtown or a formal event. The deep black color is clean and good for a variety of events.

Great quality as expected from Karl Lagerfeld! The fabric is 100% cotton, which is known for its great absorbency and breathability. The dress shirt is true to size and fits exactly as per my measurements. It has a great fitted look that conforms well to my body. The white is bright and the collar is sharp. This is a great piece for both casual and semi-formal settings. Love it!

The media could not be loaded. It has good quality, is comfortable and soft, and offers excellent value for the price. The air circulation is also very good. Overall, I really like it, and it works very well. Size is fit too.

I got this as a quality work shirt for my husband, and while the neck and torso length were absolutely spot on, the sleeves? Not so much. He’s 6'4", so I’m used to the occasional sleeve struggle, but I was really hoping this one would come through. Sadly, it hit quite a bit high on the wrist—definitely not ideal if you’re going for a polished cuff-peeking-out-of-a-blazer moment. Now, let me be clear—this shirt is beautifully made. The fabric has weight in the best way, the kind that says “yes, this is quality.” It’s crisp, structured, and feels like it could survive the Monday boardroom to Friday date night rotation without skipping a beat. Despite the sleeve situation, it looked great on him. We’re seriously debating turning it into a casual 3/4 sleeve look since he actually likes those and the rest of the fit is just too good to waste. If you're slim or tall and looking for a tailored sleeve fit, though, you might want to plan for a tailor date—or skip it altogether. Overall, it’s classy, clean, and very Karl Lagerfeld. Just maybe not built for the tall guy torso-to-arm ratio.
