It has been some 30 years since I have attempted a paint by numbers kit, and seeing the KANEDESG Paint by Numbers kit come up for review sparked my interest to give it a try again. I think I was drawn more to how the actual painting would look upon completion as I really like ocean scenes with ships such as sailboats. When the kit arrived, I made a note of how well it was packaged but also how different the paint by numbers kits are now. I can't ever recall getting a kit with an actual linen canvas in the past, but this canvas seems to be very well rendered and detailed. Pretty much everything needed to get started painting is included. The four paint brushes go from widely bristled to very finely tipped, and so far they have held up well from care and cleaning. The instructions for this kit are more a simple and basic read, omitting a few words here and there, but I'm not rating the KANEDESG Paint by Numbers kit for the approach they took with the instructions. There is enough sensible information included in the instructions to learn how to get started on your first paint by number if you are a novice, good refresher material if you have experience. The paints are clearly labeled and each correspond with the numbered areas on the canvas. If I have any negative rating for this product at all, it would be centered around the paints only being numbered with no legend of numbers to the actual color names. This might be a consideration for anyone who has color vision impairment like myself to the most common color dysfunction of red and green. But even someone with perfect color vision might like to know as well since there are so many color names beyond the RGB basics. But I can say that from the ample amount of acrylic paints that KANEDESG Paint by Numbers kit provides, you likely won't run out unless you do a lot of double coating. The paints appeared to be very fresh and showed no signs of drying out. There are some other useful items included in the kit such as gloves, an apron, a postcard reference picture and another numbered reference printout. The included rag to clean your brushes with seems to be of exceptional quality as well. My wife who is a bonafide artist remarked that this kit is a really nice presentation that would really be an ideal starter kit for someone just learning, or someone who finds painting by numbers a simple, relaxing hobby. I fully agree. My overall impression of the KANEDESG Paint by Numbers kit is that it is a high quality kit that people can easily get some enjoyment from. The price point of this kit is very fairly priced and the low cost for the hours of pleasure it can provide would make it a great gift to yourself, a gift to friends or family, or even to get several and host your own painting parties! I can see young but responsible children getting good use from the KANEDESG Paint by Numbers kit all the way up to a good fine motor activity for the elderly. Remembering my very first kit from decades ago reminds me where I learned to develop patience as well as the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time. The KANEDESG Paint by Numbers kit would be the perfect kit to provide that same kind of memory to any potential first time paint by numbers individuals with a flair for art. Five stars!

You will be amazed looking at the spread that you have, once you open the Paint by Numbers kit. The canvas has some color to it already maybe that makes the whole painting easier. If you are a beginner to art and want to learn about values, you will be amazed to see so many values of colors. Just now I was seeing gray and my daughter said that she added gray on the other side and what I was looking at was blue. This is a very fun project and a great task for both sides of the brain. Theres' the number matching that you have to do on the canvas corresponding to the paint pot. This is a mega project which will teach you patience, care and sharing if you are workign with another partner. Take time to look at it as a map to and analyse the areas. There are some tiny areas of shade. Then my daughter pointed to the smalles brush that goes to that place. There are 4 different size brushes. Working on this project, you will understand the scale of work that goes into any major artwork after the inspiration stage. Its agood project for summer for kids. Some of the recommendations are to let the paint dry fully before working around the painted area. Wash your brushes before moving onto another color and when you are done painting. Proceed frpm top to bottom to avoid smudging and to start with smaller areas first. Hope you enjoy the making of your masterpiece. I cant wait to see the finished product.

It's definitely a lot of fun for my wife and I to unwind after a day's work. It's very relaxing and we love the obelisk canvas. The downside is that you can still see the lines of the picture after painting with lighter colors. It would probably need another layer or two but not sure if there will be enough paint. Also it would be nice if it came with a frame. It's still a fun activity and we look forward doing it in the evening. It comes with paints, brushes, apron, gloves, sleeves, microfiber cloth, plastic scraper and instructions. There are 4 types of brushes. Small ones for detail painting and bigger ones for filling in larger areas. The brushes are nice and soft, very good quality. The paints come in nice containers that lock very well. This kit is very affordable and would be a great gift.

This is the best paint by numbers that I have come across! It is totally my favorite. Normally I start and stop these things. I never finish them. I have been obsessed with this kit and these portraits. They’re so beautiful, I plan on hanging them up when I’m finished. The kit is filled with so many things. You get an apron, long gloves (I don’t need them but cool to have), a few flat paint brushes, a very useful micro brush, two cards with the finished paintings, a rag, and more. I love that the paintings are on real canvas, and the numbered sections are color-coded. Which makes it much easier to differentiate between the numbers, instead of just looking at a giant black and white canvas with tiny pieces on it. I find it incredible that you get two paintings for the price. I’m almost finished with one and can’t wait to do the second!

I haven't finished these yet, but let me just say how drop dead gorgeous and high quality this kit is. I will have to get them framed upon completion, but everything you need is included in the kit, from different sized brushes for different sized painting areas, to every color already mixed that you'll need and two separate paint sets that are different from one another, one for each canvas. That's one reason I have previously unfinished paint by numbers is because I've had to mix paints to accommodate what was required and it came out wrong. This kit also comes with a smaller legend on paper for each kit to look at the numbers up close after you've already painted to assure you are using the right colors. Did I mention how beautiful these are because WOW, I can't wait to hang them in my living room. They are breathtaking works of art and make me feel like a real artist!
