  • So happy with these boots!
Special Size Type: Big Kid (8-12 Years) Size: 6 Big Kid Color: Light Navy
Grandson is 8+ years old. These boots appear to be as good a quality as my own beloved 30 year-old (yes) O**k**h boots. Would have purchased the Red ones if Amazon carried that color in Big Kids size. Will hope to see those red ones soon! Whatever color you choose, keep boots fresh with 'Monkey Butt Powder'. Amazon sells that here too! Pink bottle is our fav. Light scent. We highly recommend. ... show more

  • boot cracked
Special Size Type: Big Kid (8-12 Years) Size: 4 Big Kid Color: Black
We purchased these about 7 months ago but the amount of times they were used was not many and the still look new. Which is why it is upsetting that the boot cracked horizontally above the heel which now lets water in.

  • Quality has gone down. Bummed.
Special Size Type: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 1 Little Kid Color: Black
When I started buying these boots for my oldest about six years ago I was blown away by how well they held up. I told everyone about them. My oldest lived in them and they could still be passed down to his cousin and sister. The earlier year boots are actually still going strong (Wow!) and will be passed on to my 3rd kid. The last 2years or so they have not held up...two pairs have gotten a slice in the back heels pretty quickly. This last pair we’ve only had four months and the heels have already torn. I’m bummed. I have been loyal to Kamik (I get their kid snow boots too). But I think I have to find something else. Boots should last longer than four months. Giving two stars because I really do like these boots over all and maybe I’ve just been unlucky with some of the production batches...but doubt I’ll keep spending money on this product. ... show more

  • Amazing boots, just right for many many reasons. see review.
Special Size Type: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 1 Little Kid Color: Black
Have had these for 8 months and used on and off for a 7 yr old boy. He has normal sized feet and they fit nice and maybe even snug or 'perfect'. Not all floppy around like some oversized boot. It makes him want to use/wear the boot more. NO issues with cracking. WE use them as motorcycling boots too since they are stiff enough that they provide some protection. I have done a TON of research and looked at every boot in every store in my town, Bellingham, wa that was available. This is the best for the buck. Good traction, thick, protective, doesn't crack, name brand and fits nice and normal. can wear for hours. All the others had issues like: too thin (easily poke hole), no traction (whats the point? mud? hello!), known for cracking in the bend-zones or ugly or too expensive. The only other option worth considerinng are the brown boots that look like dads big ones. Neoprene boots. They are about 23$ and probably much high quality rubber/neoprene. Sold at lfs. They are thin though. And lower levels of traction on bottom of boot. I may try a pair for my other son to see how it goes. The toe protection allows a kid to kick something pretty harrd and not hurt toes. Thinner boots won't offer the same protectiion. I would buy these again, but wish a local shop provided them so we could get thhe right size everytime. Updated: bought two more sets of these awesome boots for my other kids. Simply love them. Best bang for the buck out there. Period. ... show more

  • Other reviews correct - go one size up!
I bought these for my daughter who takes weekly outdoor classes with a local program here in the PNW. Mud boots/galoshes are a must for her class, where they spend time outdoors rain or shine and often visit wooded areas with creeks, and everything in Portland is muddy in the spring when it rains. I was worried about going one size up but nearly every review warned to do so, and so I took the gamble myself. My six year old is technically a size 11 in sneakers and sandals (New Balance and Keen respectively, if that helps) and while the size 12 is loose on her (she can slip right in and out with socks and skinny jeans on) they do NOT fall off when she's running around stomping and kicking in puddles, or hiking around town. They have a snug fit right at the top of the foot near the ankle (snug, not uncomfortable, just enough pressure to keep the boot on the foot). I do agree with all other reviews mentioning this - go one size up. The boot won't fall off even if it's a little big, and your child will have this boot for longer as they can grow into the larger size. The boot itself is the highest quality rain/mud boot I've ever bought for her. I can see this lasting her for the next year (let's be real here, these are for our children who hit massive growth spurts! Don't expect a boot to last much longer than a year due to child growth, but expect it to last many years based on quality). The build is sturdy, the treads are aggressive and she says the boot is very comfy to walk and run in. No complaints of foot fatigue or blisters. ... show more

  • I would wear these. If I could put in an insert..
Special Size Type: Toddler (1-4 Years) Size: 5 Toddler Color: Rose/Lilac
Adorable! Ordered size 5 in lilac/rose toddler. She is a 5.5 in most shoes, ordered a 6 in bogs they were too big, so I was nervous and went back to a 5 with these. They will fit her for a few weeks, crossing fingers, but for $14 I don't really care. They look/feel like big people rain boots. Looks like great traction. To be honest we have not splashed in any puddles yet but she wants to put them on herself (19 months old) and loves stomping, no pun, around the house. There is little to nothing to pad this baby's feet inside of the boot. Literally just a piece of felt that is not even glued to the bottom. Rather typical, unfortunately, why do so many rain boots think they can get away with horrible support inside? Perhaps so we can easily dry them? Maybe. We should have ordered the 6, but they were $10 more that day and thought what the hey let's just order a 5. Learn from me, they run sizing like most shoes, go up a size if you want them to last. Worried about holes in the boot because of some of the reviews but we shall see. if no updates from here on out = no holes :) We will let you know. Cheers to stomping in ishy things. ... show more
